If you're not looking at much camera movement (i.e. camera on tripod and no panning/etc.) then get that Flip Mino HD. It's awesome!

I 2nd the Flip Mino HD. I have one w/ a miniature tripod that I sit right on the desk in front of me. Picture quality is superb and you can't beat the price.

For simplicity, easy of use and price you can't beat something like the Flip. For a higher quality, great color and HD but yet still affordable- I would go Canon. You can pick one up for $400 -$500 on the web. Really depends on your price range and if you're picky about video like me. |

I have been working all week with my new Kodak Zi8. As mentioned, it does have an external mic which you have to have if you want good quality audio in you video. I highly recommend this camcorder if you are looking for entry level equipment that wont crush your bank account.
