Action Enforcer vs The Action Machine vs Action Machine Pro

I have been looking into purchasing a productivity tool for time management and keeping me focused.

All of these tools look similar, if not the same thing via reselling, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any and could tell me the pros and cons of each or all.

Action Enforcer vs The Action Machine vs Action Machine Pro?

Derek Franklin of TheActionMachine.com sold Private Label Rights to his software. They will all be the same, unless the others have added additional bonuses. I'm sure you can click each one to compare pricing.

I have the desktop and online version of Action Enforcer. My time management can be horrific, you see I'm the poster child for adhd and I absolutely love action enforcer. I have the online version It works pretty much the same as the desktop version. I don't know what I'd do without it

              Hi guys -

I'm interested in creating a Private Label Rights version of this software myself, for a small niche.

I've found several different web sites offering their own PLR version of this. Including:
              - ActionXpert.com
              - ActionEnforcer.com)
              - TheFocusMaster.com
              - ActionMachinePro.com
              - InstantTimeManager.com
              - TheActionMachine.com

Any pointers on how I can get my own PLR version made... with my own logo, etc?

              Thanks!

I have the Action Machine by Derek Franklin. It is quite good at what it does - helping you list what you need to do and how much time you want to dedicate to each specific task. Then auto rings on cue to let you know when the time runs out.

I like it and it works - helps me manage my to do list, especially the ones that I need to repeat on a daily basis. It helps me not think about them - just run Action Machine and away I go with what needs to be done.

Thanks so much Russell for mentioning The Pomodoro Technique!!

I had never heard of this before I read your post.

And now thanks to your post, I have learned something new and cool today!!

I have visited the Pomodoro Technique website and have found the following totally FREE items available for download:

              1. The Pomodoro Technique Ebook PDF by Francesco Cirillo (the creator of the technique)

              2. The Pomodoro Technique Cheat Sheet PDF

              3. The Pomodoro Technique To Do Today Worksheet PDF

              4. The Pomodoro Technique Activity Inventory Worksheet PDF

The website provides the answer to the question "What Is The Pomodoro Technique?" with the following:

The Pomodoro Technique® is a way to get the most out of time management.

Turn time into a valuable ally to accomplish what we want to do and chart continuous improvement in the way we do it.

I've also signed up at the ActionComplete website for the 7 Day Free Trial.

Unless I find something totally amazing there, I probably will not pay the $19.99 to continue on with the service for a full year.

NOTE: ActionComplete is NOT affiliated with David Allen in any way (per the footnotes at the bottom of the pages at the ActionComplete website).

I already have the Nicheology Action Enforcer (the Raw Results Time Machine version) that Paul Evans made available 2 or 3 years ago.

I just blew the dust off of Action Enforcer a few days ago. I had totally forgotten that I even had it installed on my computer.

After seeing Action Enforcer as a One Time Offer on a few WSO's recently, my memory was jogged, and I said to myself "don't I have something like that already installed?"

I checked my computer, and sure enough there it was sitting there waiting to be used.

              Saved me $17.

By the way, I logged into Nicheology and found that The Action Enforcer is still available there for download.

If you do a Google Search for Nicheology Action Enforcer, the link should appear right at the top of the search results.

The Nicheology Action Enforcer was in the top position of my search results.

NOTE: You need to be a Nicheology member in order to access the download, however.

So, hopefully one way or another with one or all of the above mentioned time management tools, I will start improving my productivity and reducing the massive amounts of wasted time I have been pouring down the drain for quite some time now.

Yeah, I know, I should probably focus on just one of the 3 methods at a time in order to get a better feel for which one will work best for me.

Guess I'll flip a coin and see which one I put to use first.

The Promodore technique is definitely a great method for accomplishing tasks, if you have a few clear actions to perform. I love the ActionComplete - and will pay the $20/year
                - as it allows me to break my tasks into 3 Categories (1-Due Now; 2-Waits/People to Follow Up with; 3-Projects/long term projects that I need to work on NOW or in the future)
                - it allows me to view my tasks from any computer (I do travel a lot)
                - it talks to me It literally says "You've Got Things to Do!" at the time an item is due
                - I can download it to my smart phone and use it on the go - can't beat that

                Personally, I love it!

I also own Action Machine Pro, but I find it way less user-friendly than ActionComplete (ActionComplete allows me a clear visual of what's going on, vs. Action Machine Pro where I have to click on stuff to see what's going on)

I also believe our brains process things differently, so we'll find different things useful.

WisCrown, thanks for introducing me to the ActionComplete - in my opinion, it Rocks!

If you are in to the Pomodoro Technique, then there is a great free Adobe Air app Focus Booster that I like to use.

focus booster - home; try the pomodoro technique

for those on a Mac platform...

personally, a combination of Pomodoro technique on the no-tech to lo-tech side plus use of Omnifocus for more complex tracking of GTD of complex projects and which can be kept synced among all my Apple devices and to the cloud is killer.
