Infusion or Nanacast ?

Hi Guys

I'm looking for a integrated system, I have looked into Infusion and Nanacast and looks like it's gonna be either one of those.

I know a few of my friends use Infusion so i know it is good and very flexible however also complex, the tagging capabilities are super ace though... just not sure if i may need them now.

On the otherhand Nanacast looks super cool to, although they do not handle the email side of things like Infusion, so i'd have to parser with Aweber i expect...

It's a tough choice...

Infusion comes across as if it may be a pain in the butt to setup... and Nanacast seems pretty straightfoward and very user friendly...

I may add that I'm planning on using the system to handle a continuity style memberships along with the odd standalone product.

So if anybody has experience with either please let me know what you think...

Thanks

Dan

P.S. Anybody know where Josh Anderson is, i have tried to get in touch... but does not seem to be responding, would like a chat to him about the Nanacast system.

    Hey Dan.

Try getting Josh at Nanacast - Powered By Kayako eSupport. He always responds within 24 hours. Usually way sooner.

I work with both platforms and personally chose Nanacast for my website because it was so friggin' simple to migrate my 450+ members from DLGuard to Nanacast (took less than 4 hours for a full migration of video content and members).

Right out of the box I have powerful affiliate and coupon management (InfusionSoft coupons suck), unlimited OTO's, dimesales, membership delivery with drip-fed content, secure product delivery with Amazon S3 and more.

With Nanacast's Viral Premium edition, people won't even know it's hosted. See for yourself: Wordpress PPC Customer Area

The only thing that InfusionSoft does better is tagging and follow-up management but very few marketers learn how to use this properly. And to truly take advantage of this followup management, you'll eventually need a InfusionSoft-aware web professional (that is actually available).

By default, InfusionSoft does not give you a way to deliver your memberships. You'll need to invest in separate solutions and tinker with them for a good week or 2 to get them right. There are better solutions out there today...but they'll cost you in time and money.

So the question is...how deep are your pockets?

With Nanacast, all you'll need is a designer to create your headers, footers and OTO/checkout/thank you pages. Everything else is created via Nanacast's admin area and WYSIWYG editor. Yes...you can create your Continuity Membership areas using a WYSIQYG editor and even make them "drip-fed" on any time frame you want.

With InfusionSoft, you'll need to invest in a separate OTO solution ($797), separate membership delivery software (at least an extra $39/mth) as well as a designer for your headers, footers and OTO/checkout/thank you pages.

    On the topic of Autoresponders:

Don't forget that InfusionSoft only allows a certain amount of emails per month.

For example, with the InfusionSoft $299/mth plan, you can only send a total of 75k emails per month.
Each additional email incurs a $0.002 fee. :O

    This can get pricey.

For example, if you have a list of 25k, you can only email them 3 times per month. If you decide to email them a 4th time that month, you'll get hit with an extra $50 fee. That's $349 for that month!

Aweber, meanwhile, will allow you to send unlimited emails to your 25k list for only $149.

So if you're using Nanacast @ $97 + Aweber at $149, you're looking at $246/mth (fixed cost) vs InfusionSoft's $349 (variable cost) to send 75k emails. That's a savings of $1,236 per year.

What you think is a "perk"...really isn't. Sure you lose your ability to assign tags, followup, etc...but most marketers I've seen don't even use these advanced feature sets anyways.

Nanacast will be able to move your leads to buyer lists anyways. And once they cancel, Nanacast can optionally remove them from the buyer list...or move them to a "cancel" list to keep pitching them. Isn't that all you need for barebones marketing?
    • A prospect list
    • A customer list
    • A cancelled customer list
I know it's a tough choice. Good luck and feel free to send over any questions using the Nanacast website in my sig. I was sitting in your shoes a few months ago with the same concerns.

    Hey Blue

I watched your review... do you manage your membership sites externally like on wordpress or is it all hosted on Nanacast?

My memberships are hosted on Nanacast's servers. They also give you access to a Wordpress Plugin if you wish to host them yourself.

Hey when you say you host them on Nanacast servers...what do you mean by that? You just simply upload your content to a "post" (or Nanacast equivalent...I work with WP currently) and thus it's delivered that way.

Thanks for your help, I found this post on Google even though I'm an active warrior.

      Cheers,

      Brad

Hey Brad - did you get your answer to this?

I am convinced Nana is the answer for my membership sites, but I do wonder how I will use it - best to use it with a (new) WP blog - which is so easy to manage? Or if all pages/posts are on Nanacast are they similarly easy to manage?

My other issue is, I plan to show 2/3 of the article to Google, outside the membership site to impress potential new signups, and have a 'click here for full article' link: and there are plugins which can do that. And I wonder if I can do that if hosting just within Nanacast.

So, how did it work with you?

          Hi Malc,

You are welcome to search our knowledgebase or post questions to our support desk for Nanacast here.

Nanacast offers hosted content delivery or a WP plugin to do what you are seeking where you show teasers for google but the rest is only viewable for members who are logged into your WP. For that strategy you post the content directly in the blog and manage it there.

Please post any additional questions to our support desk for Nanacast here.

    I too vote for Nanacast.

Here is another tip - if you can dole out 297 a month more, get OfficeAutoPilot. That email system is absolutely incredible.

It has the exact same email capabilities of infustionsoft, but it's ten times easier to work with. No additional programming needed.

It has tagging, autopilot segmentation (this is really powerful), sales tracking, and it even sends out post cards!

So, when you combined that with Nanacast, you get the system you get with infusionsoft for a lot less hassle and money.

That is my take on it.

Josh: Cool - I will have to play with it to see how it works with WP. I have signed up and am happy with my choice, having been mulling it over for a few months. I am revved up, having watched all your training videos on a train trip yesterday.

Harlan: Glad you are happy: in all my researches I have not heard one bad thing about Nana.

Rob: Wow - Officeautopilot looks very cool indeed. But I'll be strong and hold off till I've learned Nanacast. Thanks for the tip though. It looks fantastic... once I am clearing an extra $297 a month.... (Would clearly pay for itself in time.)
