Has anyone tried Constant Contact Email Service?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone tried "Constant Contact" email service? I have just come across it and I am wondering if anyone here uses it? the link is Email Marketing Solutions from Constant Contact.

I am currently checking into other email services with better options for a newsletter. That's how I came across it. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks in advance!

Steve

    Hi Steve,

I use Aweber and love it.

Although i've never used constant contact i have in the past subscribed to lists using it.

The problem i used to see is that the first email always ended in my spam folder. So, i'm not convinced on their deliverability.

Yeah I use aweber also, but I am not really satisfied with them at this point. I am also looking at Get Response. Thanks for your input!

I tried it some time back, and they have excellent collection of templates for your newsletters, email marketing, fliers etc., . It has a free trial also which is good. I have got some newsletters from some institutions who use constant contact service. It is a good timely and reliable service

I have used them. Got a very high rate of deliverability (90%+). That was 2.5 years ago, though.

However, they are very quick to drop you if your recipients mark you as spam. Something like 5% and they'll drop you for the month but still collect your fee for the whole month.

Thats very interesting, can they really do that??? I really dont care for Aweber, specially considering a lot of peoples emails got hi-jacked from within....who can you trust these days? I've used CC before and liked them, I was thinking of going back to them and leaving AW.

I am considering using them since I left Aweber since I can't import my list without another opt-in.

I've been using them for about 8 months now, and am happy with the service. Great templates, and I like the fact that I can see how many and what percentage of the emails were opened, as well as click-throughs, etc.

The only con I've encountered so far is the fact that there seems to be a glitch when using the "paste" function when writing an email. Otherwise, no complaints.

I've used them on/off for a few years. They are one of the more expensive SAAS email providers out there. I like them, and use them as well as Aweber.

If your list gets big - over a couple hundred thousand, the price with CC gets a bit expensive.

I used them extensively in the past and recommended them to clients when it was a good fit. Their market is the small business owner, as opposed to consultants offering email marketing services to clients. So their materials and training are tailored around the needs of small business owners who want to do email marketing themselves. This is much different than Aweber's primary market which is Internet Marketers.

They didn't have autoresponder capabilities for a long time, but they do now, although I don't know how extensive it's capabilities are. The Autoresponder features aren't a main focus of their service.

They also have a large design template library to pick from for creating newsletters. This has been one of the selling points as many of their customers are primarily interested in sending newsletters. In the last year or so, they have promoted their social media features and it's integration with email.
