With that broad of a membership base I would probably go with Paypal and a dedicated Merchant Account. Authorize.net is quite popular in the USA but is not available outside the states as far as I know.

btw: Paypal can accept credit card payments from people without them requiring a paypal account however for recurring payments they need to have a paypal account.

    Clickbank
    2checkout
    plimus

These would be my first 3 choices in that order

The fee's for Clickbank and 2CO are huge.

With that sort of volume, go to your bank and get an ecommerce merchant account, you'll find that the fees are a lot, lot lower than CB and 2CO. (Or they are in the UK anyway)

You could also reduce your PayPal fee's if you are doing that volume of transactions, log into your PayPal account, click on the "Fee's" link at the bottom of the page, then click on the 3.4%... (or whatever it is) and on the next page you should see a link that says something like "Am I eligible for lower fees". Click on that and then you can apply.

If you have that kind of volume, you should be able to discover merchant accounts that are covered by banking regulations. The reason behind this is that paypal has been known to close accounts for long periods of time. I have a friend who has one and as long as he generates over 10K a month there are absolutely no fees and there is never any delay in getting his money because it goes directly into his bank account. Paypal is not regulated or restricted by the same laws and while it may be comparatively rare, they have been known to close accounts.
