Like in the title is there a difference between AWeber and TrafficWave? I use both right now at the moment and besides price, and layout I can not see any difference between the two. What makes AWeber all so special to be priced so expensively compared to TrafficWave? |

Brian Rooney is the owner of TrafficWave: View Profile: trafficwave Hopefully he can come in here and give us his thoughts. I have used both TrafficWave and Aweber. I was a happy customer with TrafficWave and I feel their service and deliverability were comparable to Aweber. I switched to Aweber for some of the features such as built in audio on the thank you pages (now I use their "smart" video on my thank you pages) which increase confirmation rates. I like the web form builder of Aweber better. But I mainly switched because of the brand name... |

Good points I had forgotten about AWeber new graphics type integration for their opt in forms thats one thing that sets them apart that I can think of. The Core of the business to deliver emails without getting caught up in the spam filters seems to remain the same between them as well as the delivery rate.

I have no experience with Traffic Wave, and have used AWeber for a couple of years and am happy with it. It sounds like both are great! Victoria |

Anyone that has experience with both systems will most likely agree that the core of the services is probably quite similar. The end goal of being able to build and manage your lists, communicate effectively with your subscribers, and use autoresponders to support your overall business marketing strategies can really be met by any of the top autoresponder services. Differences in functionality, interface, etc... will be interpreted by each individual user's needs, experience, and expectations. Some may find Aweber to be better suited to their situation while others find that they prefer TrafficWave.net. When it comes to pricing, Aweber charges on a graduated scale. The bigger your lists, the higher your fees become. TrafficWave.net charges a low flat monthly rate. This is one of the big reasons people are beginning to switch to TrafficWave.net. They are discovering that they can get powerful features, excellent deliverability, and a low monthly rate that, as their lists grow, saves many users a lot of money each month. |

I've only used GetResponse and Aweber, and I've liked Aweber better. However, Traffic Wave does sound like an interesting alternative, if nothing else the pricing structure is much more attractive since I can do without the advanced settings Aweber provides. But my biggest concern would be how well the emails would be delivered. Would really appreciate if some users would share their experience with Traffic Wave. |

Hello, NK. That's a great point and I'm glad you brought it up. Anything I can say is going to be biased, of course! 8-) The good news is that you can verify deliverability with third party companies such as Return Path. |

Hey Brian, While you're on here, I've got a quick question. Say I wanted to make the jump from Aweber, can I import my list without forcing them to opt-in again? Same thing with say a buyers list, can I manually import buyers (or move them from one list to another) without forcing an opt-in? I realize this opens up problems with spam, etc. I've been looking for a solution that allows this though. Another reason would be offline clients who ask for emails offline and need to import them. If you guys had this feature, and all of your other features are good to go, that'd be enough to convince me to make the jump. EDIT: Just noticed on the Q&A on your site that staff will import lists... I'd still be curious as to manually importing buyers/emails from offline sources. Thanks, -Scott |

I've used Aweber in the past and have had no problem. I don't currently have an autoresponder, but when I do, I'm thinking of moving to TrafficWave. Not only is the flat rate appealing, but the affiliate program is WAY sexier than Aweber's >:P |

When someone that is on a "Prospect" list becomes a Buyer and joins your "Buyer" list, they can be automatically transferred via what we call "chaining" without requiring further confirmation. Hope that helps!

Can you detail the process here? I'm not sure I understand how it's working. For example, I have a list of about 5k on ARP but want to move to TrafficWave. What I need to do? Thanks, Val

Guess that makes "WSO" in this case mean ... "World's Special Offer"!

When you're ready, you would just contact our support team via the help desk and they will send you the instructions for getting your list imported over.

Hi Brian, I heard from one of my students that Trafficwave only works on a double opt-in basis. Without an option for single opt-in unlike aWeber. Can I confirm that that is true? Alvin Huang |

That's just one of the reasons TrafficWave.net is able to provide such high (and verifiable) deliverability to our clients. We don't "pad the count" with useless leads that can't be delivered in order to simply charge more.

Never heard of you guys but I gotta say... It sounds a bit of a winner with the flat fee. How about moving auto responder series etc Do you guys take care of all that or do we have to do that? James |

You can also track the click through of any link including those in your email messages, links in outside ads, etc... You can send plain text or fully vibrant html.

| We don't ask for access to your account so we wouldn't be doing the transfer but most users we know of that switch are just doing a quick copy/paste from their original system to their new TrafficWave.net account.

But let me just confirm, if I do an export from aweber and import into trafficwave, each and every one I import DOES have to re-opt in to continue receiving emails? And are you guys working on a facebook widget like aweber has where if they are logged into facebook, the form you put on your wordpress blog auto-fills their name and email and all they have to do is hit "submit" ? |

Trafficwave sounds very good. I am getting a bit tired of the ever growing expense of Aweber. I feel a bit like I am growing my list to feed Aweber. I am looking into Trafficwave today. Thanks for the thread. Martin Oz! |

Any joy out there for TrafficWave? I'm not hearing much about it lately and was wondering if anyone has had a good or negative experience with it as to date. Especially delivery rates? |

Sorry for the delay. I don't spend a lot of time on the forums and can get a bit behind on stuff like this. We've been around since April, 2000 and enjoy an extremely high deliverability rating. The good news is that you can verify our deliverability, reputation, etc.. with any number of 3rd party monitoring services. Our service is used by thousands of businesses in over 100 countries. You'll definitely find much more information and quicker response times on our web site as opposed to the forums. Let us know how we can help. |

I'm curious if you've got newsletter templates (a la GetResponse). A potential client is asking about this and I'm trying to give him a steer in the right direction. Also, do you guys do paypal?
