Get to the top of Google - book

Hi Guys

I have just finished reading a book by David Viney called 'get to the top of Google' which I thought was the most eye opening bit of SEO talk I have come across thus far.

There have been many wso's that I purchased and after reading this book they make more sense than they did before.

I was wondering who else has read this and what they thought?

I dont no which other books you have read, I have only read this book and get into bed with google, both of which opened my eyes to exactly the best way to do SEO.

It was almost like it was written in code to a certain extent but if you read between the lines you will see the best way to do things, I am referring to linkbuilding more than anything as the other stuff I had already learnt from people on this site.

Link building seems to be something that if you are doing it right you dont tell other people how to do it incase everyone clocks lol.

There might be wso's on here, plently of people giving 'tips' but unless you understand whats going on and untimately how google works you are likely to get led up the wrong path!!

What books do you recommend?? I wanted to no if anyone else had discovered anything great from this book or if it was just me as one of the techniques he suggests, in fact the one hes says is the Holy grail of link building I used and in the space of about 2 weeks I have got the two pages I was testing position 1 for their respective keywords!!

    What other books are good?

Emm... I've read a lot of books, but i couldn't remember the names (silly me).

One was from Brad Callen (a free SEO book, you can look it up on Google). The second was from Stephen Pierce "Seo cash immersion course". I don't know if you can find that one, it was given only to MRMI supercash members.

I was given the book for Christmas! That'll teach me not to keep my Amazon wish list up to date! I've read it but there was nothing new in it for me. In fact parts of it were way out of date. It's good for newbies to get a basic background in SEO but anyone with a little more experience won't learn much.

Google's changing every week and unless this book is updated regularly you're going to end up reading stuff that is no longer relevant.

I didn't like the fact that he tells you almost every page to join his paid forum for more information!
