| I am thinking about creating a website and i was just wondering what are the best ways of generating income through the site (without being a retailing site) i.e. in the form of ads or other media. And what are the expected amounts generated from those forms? Any other information about generating some passive income from a web page would be helpful. |

Oh, and about cloaked links. Some people say it's better to be upfront and "honest" about your links being affiliated with the product. Others will tell you it's better to cloak the link to avoid affiliate theft. It's entirely up to you. I think it really depends on who your target audience is. If you have a well established website where you have some type of "friendship" and trust with them, you would do well to be open about the affiliate link and they will reward you by clicking on it (because they trust your advice and opinions). On the other hand, if it's a new website and one where you do not really know your audience, then cloaking an affiliate link is a good way to stop affiliate commission loss. Personally, I use CBTool - Cloaker to cloak my affiliate links. |
