Is Ezine Articles Still The Best Place To Submit Articles???

Hello Warriors

I was just curious to see if you guys think EzineArticles is still the best place to send you articles?

What other article services do you use? Also, is there a way to get around the 3 word maximum anchor text rule in your sig box? That rule is really sucks.

    yes.

I personally submit my articles to an array of article sites and nothing ranks, as well and as fast as ezine articles.

I would rank the top 5 like this..
    1. Ezinearticles
    2. ArticleBase
    3. GoArticles
    4. Amazines
    5. Buzzle

EZA gets knocked quite a bit but I still find them to be the best out there, hands down.

as usual, the best answer is to test.

simply spin 3 versions of the same article, submit to 3 top candidates (the list above is pretty good) and see where you get the most traffic.

the one thing I can say is when you do keyword research, no matter what niche, 90% of all articles I find are ezine, 9% go... and the rest a mix.

I use three of the top 5 (apart from ezine) to test which resource box works best, then submit to ezine and SEO the heck out of it.

Thanks for this comment. While it seems kind of obvious, common sense advice, I have to admit that I'm not doing it. I had taken someone else's advice on a GoArticles + backlinks to the article as doing the best in SEO. But... looking at the comments in this thread, it's clear that not everyone has seen the same results. It is probably going to depend on the niche.

It should only take me maybe 20 minutes to come up with a new version of my article, so why not spend that 20 minutes, submit it to Ezinearticles and see what happens. I can add a few backlinks to it myself and if it does well at all, then invest in creating more.

I love EzineArticles. I get alot of traffic from them. I also submit to ArticleAlley, GoArticles, IdeaMarketers and ArticlesBase.

It depends upon who you ask ... You are best to test because you need to keep in mind that traffic does not make a article directory the best. There may be other things that can help your business grow that has nothing to do with traffic.

Do not take anyone's word for it, just because something is the best for one does not mean it is for everyone. As suggested above test, test, and test...

I already tried submitting articles to other sites and nothing beats Ezine when it comes to CTR. My next choice is articlebase which can also generate great pageviews but poor CTR. Based on my experience, CB stats will only increase when new articles are published on Ezine.

I have noticed this to for the first few weeks or so. How long have you had the GA articles ranking?

        Good question...

I certainly get much better SERPs with EZA and AticleSnatch but the GoArticle click through is excellent.

        Does not compute I know...curious.

For most niches yes by far.

In fact some niches EZA has an article from '07 or so ranked high with a ton of backlinks so it will take a lot of work to knock out if at all.

Although a notch or 2 or 3 down is other directories listed/web 2.0 sites you can overtake easily.

A lot easier to take down the weaker competition than the giant sometimes, do your research & pick your battles.

Agreed. Goarticles and Article Snatch produce excellent CTR.

Better than EZA for me by almost double, depending on the article.

I personally like Buzzle the best. My articles are always approved within a day or 2 (unless it is a weekend) and I have had a lot of articles out-rank EZA on the first page. The only downside is they only allow one link.

I have never had a problem with Buzzle. They don't have as many rules and I have never had an article "rejected" for some unknown reason.

I agree there and the last 3 articles I did try to add that was original, the system kept on kicking me right back to the article form (empty).. So I sorta gave up on buzzle, not worth the trouble...

Much as i hate to admit it, EZA is still the best. (Hate to admit it becasue the 5 to 7 days wait for approval drives me bonkers). I have found that Hubpages rates higher in the SERPs, but EZA still drives more traffic and has the big bonus that webmasters and scrapers syndicate the articles, so there is a better chance that your anchor text and link will get pushed around the net.

It's always good if you use them all that way you have traffic coming in because some Approve faster then others. Then once you have things going you can pick & choose.

agree on Ezine, in my opinion the quickest place to get results but the other directories with a spun version will do the job too but in my view lower results off the others (all mentioned in above threads) but still well worth submitting to.

Forgive the ignorance, but I did not see anywhere in GA that they forbid the use of a previously published article. Could ther be any advantage to using some of my old ezine articles on GA?

Apart from Ezines which can be branded as "most powerful article marketing tool", there are also sites like GoArticle, ArticleBase which should also be under consideration. For me, Ezines combined with diversified submissions to other directories work well.

Yes, without a doubt it is one of the best directories. But they have changed many rules that are much stricter now.

Ezine is still the best article directory there is. Much stricter but still good. But then again, test, test and test and choose which one fits you.

Yes, Ezine Articles is still the best place to submit articles (after your own site of course). Articles Base also delivers some traffic, but not as much as EZA. If you want backlinks you should also submit your article using a service like Unique Article Wizard.

Like James & AnneE said "it depends". What I'm seeing is it depends on your keywords. Before you submit your article to EZA (or any other directory), check out the SERP's for your keyword in Google, Bing & Yahoo! ... then make your decision. For example, I just looked at the search results for a certain long tail personal finance keyword in all 3 search engines. If you blindly submitted to EZA in the hopes of getting 1st page placement for this keyword, you would be out of luck on Google (there are already 2 EZA in the 5th & 6th spot, Associated Content, WP.com & Docstoc have better SE placement), Bing and on Yahoo! (Articlesbase & Associated Content articles are in the 3rd & 5th spot, respectively).

The only downside is that Ezine Articles is sooooo expensive if you opt for the Platinum account.

They have a complete monopoly because they know their articles rank so well in Google. I've had a Platinum account for almost a year I think and if I don't post articles I feel like I'm burning money $$$$.

I would agree that EZ will always be a cut over the rest as long as it keeps it's strict guidelines and actually keeps rejecting poor quality articles - you just can't get away with anything on there whereas even the next best directories you can bend the rules, and they are slacker rules anyway

Saying that though, since the site revamp on ArticlesBase we have been getting decent results in terms of article views, clicks and sales from here so I am watching this one closely for the future.

It similar to the adage, "quality vs quantity". EZ is by far the best. The articles rank well and fast. Google loves them as they encourage quality and unique content. And I have found the support fast and very helpful

You could certainly post articles at several sites, but why borther. I would work on producing more articles and just posting them on EZ. The 80/20 principle.
