    I mainly use Market Samurai. It has all the tools needed for internet marketing: keyword research, SEO competition analysis, rank tracker, promotion, monetization, etc.

    As FastLearner said, download trial version. You'll get a discount and if don't decide for full version after the trial period is over the keyword research module stays fully functional!

      MS kicks the **** out of KE and all the other out there right now.

      They have awesome support, the tool is solid....well worth the price.

    Can anyone tell me how to do a local competition search in MS?
    Can't find this option - if it's there.

    I just started using the trial version, but maybe it's available only in paid version?

    So it's not possible to use it for a local search? Just global?

    I simply can't see the options for local, might be dumb though - don't sleep much lately

    If you mean specifying a specific country, then yes.

    One of bad thing on SEO powersuite is you'll stuck with their subscription plan.. when you stop subscribe.. you're s/w will be use less (they will lock with Your Software is Not Up-To-Date notes)

          it is true ? trial version is $7 and if trial end, it still can login with that trial account ?

    I use MS all the time and think it is fantastic. While the results differ from Google Keyword tool (apart from MS is daily and Google is monthly) it is very useful. However when doing some UK only research, on searches with small volumes, it sometimes gives very low search results that bear no resemblance to Googles tool so I work with both.

      I have used MS since it was first launched and it has only gotten better and better. Any question I have ever needed to ask has been answered promptly. They have excellent training videos available as well, with additional videos being added on a regular basis.

      MS is not just about keywords. You can track search engine rankings, analyse SEO competition, use it to locate product to monetize your sites, find research material to enable you to write articles and ebooks, you can publish content from MS and even use it to locate backlink opportunities.

      In addition, the developers keep looking for new things to add.

      In my opinion, MS is the single most useful tool that I have ever purchased.

I fully expect to make money in IM, and MS will be one of the important tools that helps me get there.

      as MS uses google keyword tool, you can search for different locations and markets. It took me a while to find out where to set it. It is in the project settings tab (the top most).

      Yes, it's available for other languages too. All of the ones that you mentioned and others that Google's External Keyword Research Tool has.

      You can select it under the Language/Region option, in Project settings.

    SEO Powersuit is a lot more complete but also more complex. If you're starting out you don't need more horsepower than MS can give you. SEO Powersuit is a better choice if you're experienced in SEO though and competing in a large number of competitive niches.

    I like both. SEO Powersuite is quite robust but I don't like having to open up different Windows to use different features of what I thought was one product. MS on the other hand has all its tools under one roof. Plus its just an all around solid tool.

    I find SEO Powersuite to be a confusing suite of software. It also seems to suggest doing some old school things like reciprocal links. I like market samurai. But you may also want to checkout Boostability. There software is really good, but you'll be spending a lot of time doing it.

      Comparing these two is doing a disservice to SEO Powersuite.

      Market Samurai cannot hold a candle to Powersuite.

      Rank tracking is completely inaccurate and unreliable in MS. The keyword research is entirely too slow and only interfaces with Google Keyword Tool. Powersuite lets you interface with a bunch of keyword tools.

      SpyGlass alone is a far better tool than anything MS offers. They also just added their own in-house database for finding links along with the 10 or so other sources that the software uses.
