Any thoughts on which is better? I have nothing but favorable reports on both.

i never used seo elite ,i am hardcore samurai user..its the best tool,,,if you spend some time with it you will discover much more than keyword research..it helps me to do 75% of my seo research,,
try it yourself,they have 12 days free fully functional trial,you can get a 40 days trial from 30 day challenge affiliate link..
also plz dont rstrict yourself to one tool,,i use google kw tool,market samurai and mnf just to verify and make sure i am not being fooled..

SEO Elite used to be one of the better tools on the market for backlink analysis...I'll be running a backlink test of both MS and SEO Elite and another tool or two next week and publishing the no-holds-barred results. PM if you want a link when that case study is done.

I am using SEO Elite for backlink analysis and keyword analysis.I am found it quite interesting tool.

I use SEO Elite for backlink analysis and MS for keyword and competition research / analysis...

Kind of work together as opposed to competition...but if I had to pick one OR the other, I'd go with MS

MS does backlink analysis as well as anchor text analysis on those backlinks. Truly useful also is the fact that it also shows the PR breakdown of those pages and anchor text. Couple that with being able to do alexa/quantcast and whois analysis and its just nuts....and they're not done yet....

I haven't used SEO Elite but have Market Samurai! Market Samurai is the bomb!!! In a good way of course. I mainly use it for keyword research and it does an awesome job. Plus the videos they have for it are filled with good advice to get the money making keywords and help with the amount of traffic you want to your site. Really, MS is the best but I haven't compared it to SEO Elite cause I haven't had to.

You can do backlink analysis with MS too. Is there any special reason to use SEO Elite for this job?
