I'm starting a membership site and have been looking at all of the options out there. The two companies that seem to offer the best services are Subhub and Membergate. Both seem excellent. There i obviously the price difference - but what does membergate give you for the extra $$$$ in price? Be great to see some comparisons and hear some reviews. |

Hi Staffjam, Regarding SubHub, if you haven't already, I suggest taking our free 14 day trial, which gives you the opportunity to 'kick the tyres' and see if the solution matches your needs. All of our features are enabled to check out. Hope this helps ![]() Mark |

I'm MemberGate all the way. It provides more features for the $$$$ and it's a one off payment. They offer payment plans spread over 10 months which is popular. They have a demo: Member Login Area There's heaps of discussion on here reagarding membership platforms. Good luck with your site! Best wishes David |

I am on the fence about this one also, but membergate to me is expensive, but I did not know they had a payment plan spread out over 10 months.

Just a heads up that if you choose to pay monthly with SubHub, our contract with you is a rolling monthly one, rather than any kind of payment plan. This means that if you decide that our platform is not a good fit after a couple of months, you can cancel and walk away, without any remainder to pay. As mentioned in my previous post, we have a 14 day free trial, where you can test us out, with all functionality enabled ![]() Best wishes, Mark |

I have been comparing all the different membership software programs and wanted something for wordpress. I think you can use it on reg. sites as well. I am going to get Ravi's Digital Access Pass. There is a whole section on the Warrior Forum about it. Check it out! |

I own two MemberGate licenses but I would not recommend it. It works fine but it is too expensive for what you get in my opinion. These days there are many options, even some decent ones for WordPress, that I would take a very close look at. Quote:

I have no experience with subhub but I do own two Membergate licenses. I will comment on MG. For me MG is terrific. They have fantastic support, very user friendly and outstanding SEO capabilities. I'm not what you would consider a technical person, so for me those things are very important. They allow me to focus on my tasks, not the technical aspects of internet stuff. In addition, I have never had better service from any internet company than MG. They are very responsive even going on close to 10 years after I bought my first license. I would guess the typical response time is less than 12 hours and if it is an emergency it is less than 60 minutes. That is very important to me. Good luck with whichever way you decide is right for you. Geoff |

Well - i'm a bit stuck now - i was going to go with Subhub - but they don't have Paypal Pro - which is a big pain. My problem is that my company is registered in Panama so using their card processing company could be a bit tricky and Membergate don't even have Paypal. So I really am a bit stuck. Both services seem great - and I'm in no position to comment, but the Subhub support seems to be a bit more responsive and hands on. |
