Default Dave Guindon's Virtual Smart Agent

Last month I purchased Dave Guindon's Virtual Smart Agent software for about $100, and I added to my one and only book that I sell.

So far, I have had zero people prompted to purchase at the lesser price before leaving my sales page.

It's been just a month, which might be a small sample of time, but batting zero results is a bit frustrating.

Are there many people that have had wonderful success with this tool, and if so, maybe you can post links to sales pages so I can see live examples of it at work in the real world.

Surely it depends how many people have seen the VSA.

Maybe there's other problems? Maybe your salesletter doesn't properly explain what the product is (so people wouldn't want to buy it at any price)

Or perhaps your site doesn't look trust-worthy? (I haven't seen it, obviously, just an idea)

Thank you for the comments. I cannot post a link to show you my book page as I am a new member but in a few weeks I hope to meet this website's 15 posts requirement and I will then post the link. It was just kind of frustrating to spend $100 and get zero payback.

In another thread you are complaining about a lack of traffic. No traffic=no sales.

I own about 20 websites. My book page and DVD generate traffic. I self printed an aviation book and have sold nearly 600 copies all myself via my www.airlinefan.com website.

My book is not sold through any retail distributors. My observation is that nobody has stuck around to buy my book at the lower price in the 1 month since I added the virtual agent.

Yes I have several new websites that I am trying to promote with the Icansoft software to no avail. Such as www.cashsender.com for example.

I allowed the links to work so that people could look at this in detail. However, I can't see where your book is and the other site doesn't look like it belongs to you ;-)

The purpose of this post was try and find out if I am doing something wrong with my Virtual Smart Agent as I've had zero results with it thus far.

To summarize, I've sold 600 of my AIR-TO-AIR photography book in the last year through my own existing customers and web traffic. So I do not have a problem with web traffic.

My book ad virtual agent can be viewed if you click the "AIR-TO-AIR" banner top center of the home page of my AirlineFan dot com site.

If anyone can provide construstive comments as to why my Virtual Smart Agent has not generated not a penny of incremental revenues I would be very grateful. Thank you.

My business is making nearly 40% of it's profits from Virtual Smart Agent.

I'll soon post my split tests using different faces, sales, etc...

Amazing tool!

Wow ... that is very impressive.

I have just checked the stats for my Virtual Smart agent for this month.

I've had 148 page views in the past 16 days, with 99 initiations, 0 interactions, 2 clicks, 0 sales.

I am clearly doing something wrong with this tool. I am not an expert by any sense of the word in online marketing and marketing in general. That is why I joined this forum.

If someone can have a look at my Agent, my offer, and tell me what is blatantly wrong to help explain why I've made no sales with 148 page views (average about 10 page views a day) that would be hugely apprecicated. Thank you so much.

A hint:

1) DO NOT use a man.
2) DO NOT use a cartoon character.
3) DO NOT use any of default provided faces.

Also...

1) You only got 2 clicks because:

================
A) Your first initial message sucks. Do something like "STOP! Since you're leaving, I thought I offer you a 50% discount...".

Also have no more then 3 initial messages, with:

1) "Hey STOP..."
2) "By the way, I'm not a real human... type a message to give it a try..."
3) "Ok, I must be moving on now... CLICK HERE to take advantage of this offer one last time."
================

================
B) Get a attractive female as the support agent. Find her on istockphoto.com
================

*Above data concluded from:

a) 78,000 views.
b) 28,000 interactions.
c) 1200 clicks.
d) Sales 119
e) Conversion rate: 10%.
f) Time frame: 3 months: Dec 09 - Feb 2010.

As said, will post pictures illustrating what HUGE difference a customer support agents face can make. Generally the more attractive, the more sales.

Hi Andre,

Many thanks for the info. Very much appreciated.

I have changed my initial message following your advice.

I sacked the two men I had as agents and now "employ" two attractive females to greet my potential customers. These are "recruits" from the VSA default girls.

My existing set up only had the two initial greetings as follows:

"Hello ... I can offer you a special discount right now on the AIR-TO-AIR photo book. Simply CLICK HERE take advantage of this special offer, which is only available through this virtual agent chat."

"But you better hurry! This offer won't last very long. Simply CLICK HERE to get your special offer."

So we'll see if these recommended changes bring an increase in sales. I'll report back results in this post. Thanks again Andre.

I made the recommended changes to my virtual agent which you can view yourself on my book sales page:

AIR-TO-AIR / Ultimate Airline Photography Photo book Online Order

Since I have purchased this software it has not generate a single sale.

The Virtual Agent Statistics page told me that during the month of March there were 280 page views, 188 initiations, and 3 clicks.

In all fairness, maybe nobody wants to purchase my book and it has nothing to do with the software.

Possible conclusion: This software might work great in converting sales for mass market stuff like "How to get rich" ebooks and Viagra, but for highly specialized niche items like airline photo books, it is not so useful.
