Default Any one have experience with Webby eMail software?

I just received an email from a marketer pushing webby eMail software.

They said it is for $50 one time fee has open, click, unsubscribe stats, same features as many other top level autoresponders but am not sure if it is something stored on my site or if its hosted by them. Also not sure on its reliability as I had used an earlier email list program for my sites once and it flat out was nothing but junk! Anyones thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I keep getting spam via them. I reported it a couple of times but had no response. The latest spam today is promoting their service. So I'm not impressed.

Here are the facts: I've had three different emails from three different people that I have never subscribed to, or opted-in to. The emails don't start with my name (as they usually do with opt-in emails), just things like 'Hey,'. I reported two of them to Webbyemail but had no response so I didn't bother with the third.

I have used AWEBER for years and never had a problem, so I certainly won't switch. I know Aweber is the Autoresponder of choice for a lot of IMers ... so it must be worthwile

I am not even sure if it is installed on our servers or they have a central server like aweber, someone can confirm this?

I checked out a thread in WF recently talking about this and thought I 'd check it out, for those who are thinking about buying, click close at the main window and a VA will popup and offer a $20 discount...

$30 For a lifetime access to an email marketing software, I am skeptical to say the least..

but happy with aweber so far...

I also received SPAM from someone promoting this service. Any company that promotes via spam and wants to handle my email list is OUT.

Well I've had my answer today in the form of yet another spam (promoting webbyemail), this time in Vlad Dancui's name.

Apparently he wants to thank me for receiving several spam emails:

"First of all I Want To THANK YOU! for what? For reading the emails we sent you this days me and my friends the other marketers."

and then ends with a rather feeble invitation to unsubscribe "...if you are accidentally in my list..."

I'd never heard of webbyemail until the spam arrived, and certainly never signed-up to anything on the website.

I've just checked and found I have received emails from SIX different webbyemail users - none of which I can remember signing-up to. Yet I CAN remember signing-up to emails I get from the users of aweber, getresponse etc. Strange, that.

Furthermore, when I twice reported the spam to webbyemail I had no response. If I had actually signed-up to these people wouldn't be a good idea to reply saying 'You opted-in on xyz date'?

I suggest you get your act together and you could have a good business.

OK, I'm now confident that Webbyemail is a legitimate service which has been used by some people who 'somehow' got me onto their lists without me opting in.

It also didn't help that when I emailed Webbyemail I was automatically put on their mailing list without opting-in! Vlad has apologised for that, and I will now be trying the service. So there we are.

Just sign up yesterday. I'm already testing it. I got to say it very unprofessional service and website. When you click on learning center. Of any of them they don't have anything but articles 1, articles 2 articles 3 and video 1, video 2, video 3 which is unclickable. Also when you sign up as an affiliate and received an email it say
From:
"WordPress" <Affiliates@WebbyEmail.com>.

I already setup a web form for the subscription. I test it with my own emails but I never received a confirmation link but in the backend/service where you can check your data and make the webform and such. I see that I sign up but my Confirmed stats is unconfirmed because I never received the confirmation link.

Here some screen shots I took. Look at the image. Change the xx to tt I can't post image cause of my post count

hxxp://img44.imageshack.us/img44/9629/39117504.jpg

hxxp://img716.imageshack.us/img716/2559/21716579.jpg

hxxp://img232.imageshack.us/img232/3305/89085826.jpg

On image 3 the name is Discount so I'm using the email discount.king and checking for the confirmation link but never received it even after 40mins+

Also I tried calling them at Phone: +1-888-717-1709. You go straight to hold with music playing and then like 5mins later you heard a Spanish Message not even english. Most likely a away/leave a message thingy and then you hear a beep.

Every single one of my emails are being sent to the spam box - I have changed it all so that it only uses text and no spam words whatsoever - still they get sent to the spam folder - I contacted webbyemail and they said to check that reverse dns was setup on my server and it was -

I have now sent them an email asking what I can do as this is clearly not how I want to run my campaigns - Its not even hit n miss they always get sent to the spam folder -

I thought it may well have something to do with the email address assigned to the account - so I tried to send out an email manually from my webmail and it went straight into my inbox -

I tested over hotmail - yahoo and gmail - All go to the spam box - It hasnt been 15 days yet so depending on what reply I get back from them I will opt to get a refund and then go with a trusted auto responder which has been around for sometime

thanks

Hey Abs,

Yeah..too bad about webbymail. When you told me it was a one time fee bells rang in my head and I thought it was too good to be true.

Oh wells, anyways - I think I may want to try Imnica Mail next! Seems pretty decent with $15 per month for first 10,000 leads!

I joined Webby Email just for a tryout a month and half ago.
Different persons joined my list, no problems.
The strange thing is that, when I sent a newsletter about an update to my course, two of them instead of download the new software they paid for, unsubscribe.

I received some spam e-mails, but they come from people that probably is using Webby to do only spam for the cheapest price.
Because with GetResponse and Aweber they will got banned for life.

I'm with GetResponse, but just because of high prices for great lists, I'm thinking to leave it.
So I'm evaluating Webby and I found it a good service.

I hear what your saying Jeff I should have known what to expect -Well that's what I get for being a cheapskate - taking chances with auto responders is just not worth it -A choice in my eyes that should be reputation driven and not based on price - A lesson learned never the less.

I went back onto their site to check out the refund policy - it seems that they offer a 15 day money back guarantee. I sent a support ticket today and they said I'll get a reply within 24hrs so I'm going to wait to see what they say-but after reading some of the reviews along with my experience I'm going to make the move to another autoresponder regardless of the outcome - there's too much to loose using these guys.

I'm sure many have had good experience, I'm not one of them unfortunately

I think Webby Email is definitely gone.
Is offline by 5 days.
So I'm lucky to have kept my lists only on Getresponse.

Its always wise to go for tried and tested list building programs such as aweber and Getresponse. These are great programs i have used and have never had any issues with spam. The only downside is the higher cost for operating these programs otherwise they are superb.

Arrow Looks like VladDanciu selling Webbymail script on WF

Link to WSO removed by moderator -- against the rules.

www.webbymail.com appears dead been down for days.

Good luck to anyone that had the service.

Same here. Will never buy from Vlad Danciu again.

He emailed me that he sold the website and is not responsible for what happened afterwards.

I got this service over six months ago because
of the one time price.

And you know what?

NEVER AGAIN!

This "Vlad" character is one hell of a piece of work.

Why?

Not once but TWICE he SPAMMED
MY CUSTOMER LIST.

Like, seriously? Who does that?

Low life assholes thats who.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY from Webby email.

Unless you want to get your lists spammed.

Oh yea.... It was Vlad himself that sent messages to my customer lists.

Again, not once but TWICE.

Worst email hosting experience that I have ever delt with, personally.

I am now with imnica, and WAY more happy.

So, once again.... STAY AWAY FROM WEBBY!

(seriously)
