Anybody got this, or thinking of getting it?

I think the launch got totally overtaken by Frank's List Control.

Yeah I think it did too because I didn't hear much about it from the other big names.
I looked at the price and they are selling it for 2k.
I got a great course called Mobile Traffic Domination for $200 and from what the stompermobiles sales page says it pretty much covers the same stuff so I think 2k is a bit inflated.
Then again I have never bought anything stomper before so it may or may not be worth it.
People are still not that keen to mobile yet even though it will be the next big thing.
Howie seems to have moved on to something else since his mobile launch.
If I didn't get the course i got I might have been tempted to get Howies course or Stompers, you never know.

Yeah Frank's Luanch has definietly taken up a lot of mindshare, I mean we are talking about him in the StomperMobile thread I think it will be interesting to see what happens with this as mobile marketing is definitely something that is a little more foriegn to people within the IM niche. It is definitely a growing industry and with the sheer volumes of people that own smartphones these days I see that there will be some crossover between the two worlds. I look forward to hearing what Dan has to say on the matter, his webinars inside StomperNet are always top quality!

I was sceptical when I heard StomperNet were coming out with this but I have find the launch material fascinating.

Is it better to jump in early or wait to see what seems to work best in mobile marketing?

(Disclosure: I'm an affiliate for StomperNet as you can probably tell from my signature)

My view is that there is no right or wrong time to get involved. Mobile marketing will grow and evolve for sure but those that get in early will have a definite edge. It's also worth considering that Mobile Marketing isn't new, it's just that it's starting to get more attention recently with the explosion of the iPhone etc.

From the traditional IM position of selling your knowledge or becoming a consultant you would definitely want to get in as early as possible. It brings to mind the the gold rush analogy:

"During the gold rush the easiest way to make money was to be the person selling the spades..."

If you get into a market earlier you will be in a position to become the person essentially selling the spades (mobile information). Add this to the fact that StomperNet are offering a year long guarantee if you are interested and you do have the money to spare then why not go for it?

I'm still waiting to see if I will get in on this because of other commitments but if you do get involved it would be great to stay in touch and see how things are going. I'm sure we would through if you signed up through my bonus offer anyhow!

daniel, I'm thinking of buying this course (I'll probably use your affiliate link.)
Have you had much experience with stomper organization? Can you trust their gurantee?

StomperNet have been around for a long time and would be silly to mess around with fake guaranatees. I'm currently in the process of refunding my "Live 9" ticket run by StomperNet as I lost my passport and can't to their event so I have faith in them. To be honest with you they can be a little slow with their support responses at times but they do always get back to you and you can usually speed the process up with a quick tweet to one of the team on Twitter

In relation to Dan Hollins, the guy running the course with StomperNet: I've had twitter services through him in the past and he is readily available. My questions were resolved and action taken within a couple of days whilst he was running a launch.

Also when to go through my link, make sure you delete your cookies before and forward your receipt to me so I can make sure that your bonus get's tracked and I'll chat with you again soon!

The spectrum is wider, I believe than mobile phones. E-readers and the iPad will present some interesting challenges as well as opportunities. I think that the "whitepaper" as we know it may take a different form and look more like the kind of video and multimedia that we create. The demand for ebooks is an indication that people want to get their content this way:

Paid E-Publishing Content: Books, Newspapers and Magazines - eMarketer

Interestingly, I believe that folks pay to get news on their Kindle, although I am not all that certain about what kind of advertising they see. If they don't now, it is only a matter of time before they do.

Yeah I got an email about that but thanks for the update!

StomperNet announced a discount and a 6-part payment plan on StomperMobile today so I might be joining the Mobile Marketing training course myself!

The StomperMobile course actually starts tomorrow and Dan has allowed me to share the first lesson plan. I've removed my affiliate links from the mail so you just get the details...

    ---- PRINT & SAVE ----

The good news is that StomperMobile starts TOMORROW:
Tuesday at 8pm EDT (5pm Pacific)... yes, it is "M-Day".
If you cannot make the call, no worries: EVERY CALL for
StomperMobile will be recorded and posted in the portal.

The course outline is below and it's time to prepare.

PREP STEPS (for StomperMobile Lesson #1)
We will learn how to build a mobile site (or page) in class one.
Your mobile site will work on almost ALL mobile phone platforms.
    You'll need zero programming skills.

    PREP-STEP 1
Step into the shoes of your typical customer as they sit in
a restaurant, their car, or upon a bus stop bench. THINK
what are the "things" about your business or product/service
that someone would want or need while they are Mobile.

Consider these items (they are Mobile Magnets)
    1. Mobile Coupons
    2. Maps/directions
    3. Hours of operation
    4. Phone number (click to call)
    5. Menu, list of products/services
    6. Reviews / Testimonials
    7. Discount offers
    8. Event information
    9. Interesting content (in micro-chunks)
    10. Fast facts, micro tips, FAQs about your products/services
    11. Twitter, Facebook or FourSquare links
    12. A way to opt-in for something "mobile"
    13. A toll-free recorded message number
    14. A link to your full PC site
You might have other mobile magnets, but for now... settle in
on one or a few of these items that you could provide. This
information will be the foundation of the mobile page (or pages) you build.

    PREP-STEP 2
Plan on creating a general "catch-all" mobile site that can
be used on business cards etc. This might be from one page
to 6 pages, based on what your goals and business might be.

Plan on creating a landing page for getting Mobile opt-ins (you'll
want to think-up a Mobile "I must have this" type offer your
    prospects and customers can't resist)

Plan on creating a "Transition Page" - something that for now,
I'll keep secret and reveal the details in our webinar.

    PREP-STEP 3
Optional: Have a small image or logo handy (on your desktop).

    PREP-STEP 4
Think of the domain names you might want to secure for your
Mobile pages. These should be .mobi domains. Do not buy
domains for speculation, but rather get the few you need
that protect the existing domains you already have. Buy
additional .mobi domains ONLY if you have an immediate use.

We will discuss the use of .info domains for Mobile in the class.
Hold off buying these until you have your strategies and mobile
    pages ready.

    The best domain names are:
    • short
    • memorable
    • easy to spell
NOTE: you do NOT need a .mobi domain prior to the first class.
You can build a mobile website without buying any domain and
without having a hosting account. If you are unsure, wait until you
    complete Lesson 1.

    PREP-STEP 5
There is a secret "rule" in building a mobile website that I'll reveal
in the class. So that you are ready, get a small pack of 3x5 cards
    and have them handy.

    PREP-STEP 6
    Create 3 "Mobile Magnet Snippets:"
    (120 characters max each)

    1. Write the ONE thing you could offer a mobile visitor.
(Something free, a discount, a sample, a download, tips,
      or get creative).
    2. What will your mobile site or page be about (or who is it
      for, what's the topic).
    3. Why would anyone want to visit your mobile site or page?
What is it's benefit or what is interesting about it?
If you are stumped, worry not, just do your best. 3 snippets,
    no links, 120 characters max on each snippet.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    GOALS OF WEEK ONE
    • You will have a traffic-ready mobile site up and running.
    • If time permits this week (after class one), you should create
a Mobile landing page for each product or service you sell.
    • If you have no products or if you are an affiliate marketer,
you'll still need a mobile site and I'll show you in class how
to monetize any mobile web page with ads.
    • Start a "traffic" driving campaign.
    • Begin Cross-Integration
WARNING: StomperMobile strategies should be kept secret.
The fewer people that know these strategies the more money
    and opportunity you'll have.

    SESSION 1 OUTLINE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
    THE FOUNDATION
    • THE WHY:
      The 2010 Mobile Marketing Mandate.
    • THE STATS:
Something so Small has Never Been so Big.
    • THE INSIGHT:
Why Mobile Marketing is Radically Different from Marketing?
    • THE OPPORTUNITIES:
      Current Mobile Savvy Markets.
    • THE FIRST MOVER ADVANTAGE:
      Tapping the Mobile Audience Now.
    • THE FIRST STEP:
      Building Your Mobile Presence-
      • Mobile Domain Names
      • Your Mobile Web Site
      • Mobile Landing Pages
      • Mobile Transition Page

    PLAN OF ACTION
    • Build a Mobile Website (or landing page)
    • Build a Mobile Transition Page
    • Start Mobile Traffic
    • Begin Cross-Integration
    -----------------------

    Ok, that's it.
    Get ready for M-Day.
See you on the webinar tomorrow night at 8pm EDT.
If you cannot make the call, no worries: EVERY CALL for
StomperMobile will be recorded and posted in the portal.

Your portal credentials will be on their way shortly.
I'm looking forward to working with you!

I'm not quite sure if "mobile marketing" will be all it's cracked up to be.

Going by this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...cash-what.html, so far attempts made to target mobile phones have been, well, less than satisfactory.

I know everyone has a mobile phone, however I also read somewhere on the internets (can't remember where) that teams of boffins are working on tools/apps to combat "mobile spam".

Now, what they refer to as spam, may be anything from genuine spam to genuine marketing. It might just be a case of constantly having to stay one step of the developers from here on.

The potentiial is definitely there, especially when targetting iPads and whatever comes in the future.

Whatever happens it will definitely be interesting.

Please don't think that this guy that developed that product is the only one that knows about mobile marketing. That product was completely, absolutely wrong about mobile marketing in every which way. That is one person and one product. Think about it like this.

"Just because Myspace is failing miserably at retaining their audience does that mean social networking is a wash?"

The material I give away for free is ten times better than Cell Phone Cash.

Please try to learn about mobile marketing from people that have actually done mobile marketing and not these gurus that make up the products just so they can take your money.

Very good points you raise there, but the question is whether the Stomper mob have the level of expertise you describe, or are they in the "take your money" category.

Now many of the Stomper fan club will race to their defence based on the success they have had with marketing on the internet, but I'm sure you will agree with me that the interent and mobile markets are two different beasts. What works on the `net doesn't necessarily work on mobiles, and vice versa.

As I said it will be interesting to see what happens in the near and not so near future.

Now that is a good question. Is Stomper's program really good? I don't know since I'm not a paying Stomper member. Pay two stacks for information is not my idea of a responsible use of my lunch money.

There are two other "gurus" and two mini "gurus" that I can think of that are promoting their mobile products. The two gurus know absolutely nothing about mobile marketing at all. Their course offerings are not worth my time and effort. I've researched their collection of information and resources and it's mostly charts and graphs and "local marketing" plus "text messaging" stuff. And the mini gurus are offering the same exact thing. Of the four only one of the minis seem to know what he's talking about.

I can tell you this. I met with Dan Holdings last weekend and spoke to him quite a bit about StomerMobile and mobile marketing in general. His product is the best that I've seen. What they have to offer is better than any of the other gurus out there.

Based on my experience I can say that there is room for improvement and they could add a few things, but how on earth are you going to be able to add everything into one package.

I will still stand firm in saying that $2000 is too much money. You can learn the same exact thing for much less from another company.

The difference for me is about learning from someone that has actually done what they are teaching.

    "Practice what you preach!"

I'd rather learn how to dance from an unknown dancer with ten years of experience versus an Internationally known celebrity who was on a season of Dancing With the Stars. I can vouch for Stomper's training class (a little bit) only because I've spoken with Dan and I know he's actually done some mobile marketing (and not just researched the subject).

First up, I am not promoting Stompermobile here.
I am sharing why I purchased Stompermobile and some additional info that may be helpful to others, when considering the merits of mobile marketing.

    My story:

I actually did buy Stompermobile myself.

Howie's promo email showed up in my inbox.
Been interested in the concept of adding the mobile component to my current marketing channels for some time now.

An interesting coincidence to see Brad Fallon's promo email show up just after Howie's launch.
Viewed the Stompermobile Promo webinar by Dan Hollings

Decided to purchase Stompermobile for a number of reasons:

Interesting promo webinar content with a few light bulbs going off for me.
Mobile marketing is much more that just texting which has been around for many years.
Its not a silver bullet, but another channel that can compliment email and off line communication to ones client base, and/or build that base further.

    It is Different to email:

Has realtime communication like twitter, with a much higher open rate, if conducted correctly.
If overdone you will be unsubscribed very easily, but great for wlecome timely reminders.
Better level of engagement with you clients when applying geograhic and situational relevance to your message, Email lacks this component whch can also be utilized as a powerful additional purpose such as in a retail store area.

Dan also admitted he didn't have all the answers, but that those who purchased, would also share their learnings together.
Dan does actually have a track record of personal experience along with twitter which has some similarities with mobile marketing.

I have been a member of Stompernet for several months, and experienced thier products first hand
Had friends who had been with them for years, and achieved good results.
Had followed their content since they started years back.

They offered a money back guarantee, and have a customer support response that is robust and trustworthy which is where most people peddling IM products on the net fail miserably because they act with percieved indifference.
My investment was $1997 less discount 10%, less 50% as I am a current stomper member, so I paid $897.30

When purchasing any product or service:
Learn from those with an actually track record, who are currently doing the activity themselves, and who are achieveing significant measurable results.
Avoid the opportunistic snake oil salesmen, as they jump on the badwagon of mobile marketing, to fleece your credit card, as they did with social marketing and twitter promotions.
    Hope helps.
    Cheers Wal

There's always the guarantee. Rather than wonder what the content is like, why not try it? The stomper guys are reliable enough to give you your money back if you ask.

If you can't afford to try it, then why bother discussing whether it's any good or not?!

Note: Current stompernet members get 50% off... but they're really not promoting that fact!

StomperMobile appears to be a very comprehensive program that hits on everything that needs covering in this area. I recently bought a WSO on building mobile websites but it doesn't cover enough information in detail.

I would like to know if anyone has gone through the first couple of lessons with Dan Hollings and have successfully built a mobile website? Is StomperMobile using its own mobile website creation software? If not, what platform are they using?
