Although I like Frank Kern's Good Karma Machine it doesn't have all the features I'm looking for so I started to create my own version of his program. I'm not going to use any of the original code due to the "unknown license" so I'll have to create it from scratch and I think I've implemented about 30% of the code already. Should work on every server supporting PHP 5 and MySQL (no PHP 4 support as its no longer maintained). I'd like to get your input on which features you'd like to see in there so I could implement them. I'm actually planning to release the version for free and maybe offer a very limited amount of PLR and source code licenses later, but currently I'm just looking for some features you've been looking for in the GKM. Appreciate your input on this |

It should work with more autoresponders than just Aweber. Get Response, Imnica, and others.

Thanks for your input. As I'm not using any of these I could need your help in getting some form HTML codes and stuff like that. I'll research what exactly I need and come back to you later. |

I'll add any suggestions here from now on: - multiple levels of rewards - AR: Get Response - AR: Imnica (Richelo Killian) - AR: Mailchimp (RussRave) - step-by-step instructional video for installation and use that was as easy to follow as Frank's - reset everyone's referrals back to 0 - easy customization, templates - add images to pages instead of just creating page with only text (image upload?) - "forgot password" option Thanks for all the suggestions. Any more? ![]() I'm just listing these here right now - I don't promise to implement all of these but I'll try |

I'd like the ability to reset everyone's referrals back to 0. I had the idea of using a site to offer multiple free bribes. So when I add a new bribe, I'd like the ability to just reset everyone's referrals back to 0 (without having them to re-register again) so they need to refer X amount of people again to get it. This would get people referring again without having to set up a whole new site. |

Thanks for doing this!! My only request is that you include a step-by-step instructional video for installation and use that was as easy to follow as Frank's. He did a nice job on that. |

I would like an easy customization of the page(s). Maybe just a couple of templates to use, if that would be easier.

Definitely add more space for us to work in...be able to add both text and video, similar to a normal squeeze page. Franks stuff only allows 6-7 lines of 12 font text before everything starts to overlap.

The problem occurs with GKLM because it's using absolute positioning rather than the normal "flow of elements".No overlapping guaranteed

Sounds good. You should be getting us all on a mailing list Sascha cos I am not sure I will find this thread again! One thing that would be useful is to have on the login page an option for forgot password. I say this as a frustrated GKLM user who cant log back in again! |

I don't know what any of that is, I'm not a programmer, but Richelo might be able to tell you, or Johnny Slater. I just wanted to say the screen shots look good!

It shouldn't need to integrate with any particular autoresponder. If you track thankyou pages it should work with them all. I think the best feature you could offer is a HOSTED solution so users don't need to install any pesky scripts. Charge a small monthly fee for access. I'm suprised nobody's done this yet. Andrew |

Doing this on the "Thank You" page would still require the user to click on a button and submit the form to the autoreponder site. I think this is because of legal reasons to prevent spamming. Quote:

For any autoresponder VLM should support I need at least one HTML signup form which should redirect the user after subscribing to http://www.virallistmachine.net/test.php. So whichever autoresponder you wish to have support in VLM I'd be happy if you could send me some HTML code for. Otherwise I have to regret that I can't implement a specific autoresponder - no code, no implementation ![]() Thanks. |

However I think that feature will not be integrated in this product, maybe in a later version as this would require a different database and system structure. However, you can install multiple instances using the same database which is not possible with the original GKLM

This is looking really great. I cannot wait for you to finish this. For that matter I cannot wait to help you spread the word about it. Franks version was a complete let down. you seem to be focused on a legit piece of software which is nice. Thanks for thinking of us little guys that are striving to make a living online. |

![]() Spreading the word is great as I currently only have a very small list as I just started in IM not so long ago. Prior to that I've created many successful websites since 1996 but there was no list building involved. My goal is to provide a much better and more useful version than the original GKLM is. And it'll be available for free (probably only for a limited time though).

Sorry, folks. Currently I haven't implemented any autoresponder at all because nobody sent me the HTML code for a form for his favored autoresponder service which redirects to http://www.virallistmachine.net/test.php with the user data posted back to that URL (just like Frank showed how to do with AWeber in the GKLM video). As I'll be giving away the system for free I'm not going to sign up for any autoresponder service just to add support for it. Any help is appreciated! |

Just checked out the dev site - and... WOW! I can't wait to get my hands on it. Great job! I don't know if you are still taking suggestions - but the ability to use the 'machine' within an existing site would be great. For example, embed within a Wordpress blog. Don't know if that is technically possible, but it would be great if it is! Thanks, Michael |

| I would if I'd use PhotoShop at all. I've actually created all the graphics with PhotoImpact and I could include those graphics but I think this only makes sense with a PLR version, right? There are not many graphics at all in the system anyways - just the signup and login boxes and the buttons in the admin panel (well, and the page background of course). I think adding the source graphics to the personal license download is not something I'm going to do, but I'll maybe do it in a PLR version which I am thinking about releasing later. Anyways, all of the graphics are theme-specific and contained in the theme directory so changing them is relatively easy. |

| Talking about setting referrals back to 0: I think this is a good idead but I'm not going to include it in the first version as I only wanted to create a better GKLM product which some important improvements. It is however included on the "VLM 2.0" list which I didn't plan to create initially but which I think will be very useful. |

Well, you can embed the system via an iframe in a WordPress blog. If you modify the templates and CSS you could actually make it appear as if it is a part of your blog. A full inclusion in a WordPress blog however would only be possible if it would be implemented as a WordPress plugin which it is not. Maybe I'll support this directly with a later version of the VLM. Anyways, thank you very much for your ideas and feedback

What I didn't like about GCLM was the graphics on the front page. I didn't fit the style of my other websites. I'd like the ability to have just a white background or customizable color.
