Don't want to start another MNF vs MS thread!

I am looking for feedback from those users who use BOTH pieces of software for their research.

1) How does each piece fits into your research processes?

2) What feature/functions of each tool do you use?

3) Why?

I am really curious to hear whether or not people are using one tool to start the research and one tool to conclude or if people are using them both throughout out the research process, and if you are using any other tools in addition to MNF & MS.

I appreciate all the help that this forum provides. Thanks to all those that contribute.

I think you just did lol

But to contribute to your thread, i don't use MNF but do use MS. So i can only comment on MS. It's more than just a kw research tool. I also use it for keeping track of my sites position in google, which is a huge time saver when you have a bunch of sites. This is the other feature that i really love about MS, other than the kw research feature...

I use both. My initial research uses MNF. I get a quick read on number of searches. I also run for competiton and SOC. I then use MS to dig deeper with analysis of competition, title/comp ratio and adwords cost per click. MS helps to validate MNF. The other great tool on MS is the Rank Tracker. It lets you know your progress on getting ranked. Hope this helps.

I can handle only one tool at a time. I use MNF and it seems to do what I need it to.

My approach is similar to Tony's. I use MNF for my level 1 analysis (i.e. quckily identifying markets that warrant a closer look).

I use the Brainstorming tool if I'm short on ideas. I then check for meaningful volume, low competition volume, exact match top level domains and the stength of competition indicator.

If everything looks good (or even marginal), I export my findings and then import them into MS for further anaylsis (level 2). I then double check the raw numbers, check Adwords costs, the ratios and then run a competition analysis.

Internet marketing is not rocket science ... unsubscribe from every guru spam list you're currently on ... they just want to rape your wallet and make you co-dependent.
