Hey guys,

So I'm considering my next WSO to be a membership site. I need some info on people that have used Rapid Action Profits script and how they liked it.

I see that they sell a member plus and paypal addon as a package for $297 instead of the $197 for it normally.

This is what I need to do:

- Allow people to purchase a membership and ONLY sign up if they've paid
- Split testing of sales pages and OTO's
- Freely interchange OTO's and squeeze pages
- Store customer information, in case of a flip down the line for membership # proof (not for sharing emails, etc that's wrong )
- Have different levels of access to certain areas of the site, so that if they don't take advantage of a OTO up front, hopefully not being able to access that content but it being RIGHT THERE is enough for the conversion

Among a few other things that I know it already does.

Do I need the member plus addon and paypal addon, or does the standard RAP package cut it? The sales pages are just so flippin' vague. Annoying.

I might use it on Wordpress, and might use it on Joomla. I'm not sure which I want to use yet.

If nobody likes RAP for either, what about a good joomla membership script that's secure, or another WP alternative?

Launch it first. Make the case for why someone should join. Tell people to enter their name and e-mail onto some kind of early bird notification list. See how many people actually want what you're going to offer. Of the people who sign up for the early bird list, you can usually get 25% (at least) of those people to sign up if/when you actually launch the membership site itself.

When you ask something like "is RAP worth the price tag" that suggests you're worried that this thing will flop and you'll be out nearly $300. Why take the chance? See who'll want whatever you're selling first and then it'll be easier to know if it's even worth going through the hassle of setting everything up.

I've personally used memberspeed (got it/used it before it was that... something like cmsinfusion er.. something er-other), amember (only for a few weeks,... got tired of so many files to have to tweak if I wanted something done differently) LFM, jv manager / fantasos.... and then I came across RAP.

it was the cheapest, most flexible and is (IMHO) the most unsung gem in the group... fully open, customizeable code, blah blah blah...

i cannot say one thing negative on those mbr+ and paypal addons - i created them lol... throw the tomatoes - at will .

point is... yeah, it's developed into so much more... but long story short... their pretty much considered standard fare for any rap membership site...

there are other addons for RAP as well for membership sites... but it all is dependent on what you're trying to do...

Personally speaking, RAP is the most inexpensive, most scalable, code south of $500 period.

And, yes, the disclaimer is that i use RAP for 100% (alright, probably 98.7%) of my income... and the ability to use it to scale my business is insane.

What's confusing about the sales page? If anything, it doesn't say all of what RAP will do. After 2 years and 1600+ users, there are a lot of creative alternatives that come into play.

Like wortell said, for the money, it's the best thing going.

I Consider myself a relative newbie when it comes to using RAP, and just recently got the membership+ and paypal addon.

Do I think it was worth it? without a doubt yes.

Seems like every week there is something new coming out for RAP. There are multiple certified addons you can purchase to add additional functionality.

RAP alone has allowed me attract more affiliates and a rise in income that has more then surpassed the purchase price.

Sid, Bill, Erin, And Richard, have always been very timely in support questions, and any other problems I have had, with RAP mmbrs+, RAPbank and other addons.

It is is the number one investment I have made.

And would also suggest you search for the dozen other threads that this question has been asked in....I think you'll get a great picture of RAP and it's uses.

Rap is managing my WSO's and also my membership subscriptions. If your a noob it can be a little bit of a learning curve but it worth the price.

Thanks for all the answers guys. I just wish some other Warriors would simply say nothing instead of being negative.

The sales page is confusing because it leaves out functions of the program. It should detail all of them and I didn't want to wait for a support response from them as I need to purchase it tonight.

As far as being worried about the site flopping, not at all. I know people want it, 160 buyers of my last WSO asked when it would be ready. Worst case scenario, I pay for PPC and get it generating income and flip the site for a couple thousand.

Yes yes yes! RAP is one of the most brilliant applications to ever hit Internet marketing and I'd be lost without it. My domain profits club relies on RAP along with Bill Ortell's (wortell) membership add-on. I can't say enough good about it. My affiliates love it too as it allows them to get paid commissions instantly to their paypal accounts.

I use RAP and Butterfly Marketing...

If it's just a price concern you have, wait a few weeks or so,
From my understanding Mike's gonna release The Butterfly Marketing Source code for Free.

You'll save yourself $1997 Dollars for Butterfly Marketing,
or $167 Dollars for RAP...

But again,

It's all gonna depend on your personal preference,
current skills & knowledge in wed dev & design,
financial capitol vs time etc.

You could even create a wordpress blog
with a membership plugin,

again, it's really gonna depend on your personal preference.

RAP is the BOMB!

...and "RAPers" the best!

We built a "Wacky Sale" empire on RAP and now it's been over 2 years on more than one site too!

The possibilities are endless and unlike many other programs we've used in the past, you can twist this thing any which way you can (ok, well almost), to make it fit your needs.

I'm not going to say other programs are better or worse because we also use most of the ones everybody is familiar with, just not for our "everyday bread and butter."

But for long term growth, the "instant commission" benefits far outweigh waiting for commissions to be paid (maybe) AND from the vendor's standpoint, NO PAPERWORK and tax stuff to worry with.

Oh, and did I mention the awesome support, various add-ons AND the security of knowing your business is also secured on the backend (and that's a big one).

It's worth it! ...was that the question? hehe

I'm most likely going to buy it this weekend and get started. I really want the membership plus addon and paypal addon, I feel like they're kinda crucial to success.

Thanks for the feedback about RAP. I'd appreciate answers to these questions:

Does the RAP system take care of tax forms for affiliates? (Tax IDs, 1099's, whatever) as ClickBank does?

Are affiliates even considered affiliates since they are paid immediately?

How do RAP marketers handle guarantees withn affiliate sales since no payments are withheld?

Hi Mary,

There are no tax forms to deal with. When a sale is made and it's your reseller's turn to get paid, the entire amount is sent to the reseller directly from the customer. You are not involved in the transaction.

That's something only you can decide. Usually, you state in your terms that the reseller must refund any orders if there is a refund request and the money went to them. If they refuse, I typically will honor the refund myself and remove the reseller from the program. This has never been a problem for me.
