How Do I Record a Phone Interview?

What are the latest and greatest websites for recording a phone conversation for an "interview" style product?

Anyone have any input for me? I'd love it.

There are a number of choices for free phone recorders for skype and google voice. A Google search will give you many options.

If you don't want to rely on 3rd party services, you can buy a digital recorder for your phone that will record 200 gigabytes of data. You can then upload it to your computer. I think Radio Shack sells one for less than a hundred bucks.

GoogleVoice is pretty easy to use and your recorded calls are archived.

freeconferencecalling like mentioned couple times is great. Besided being able to record calls live, you can also manage calls from a dashboard in your log in and your interviews or calls become instant mp3s.

As you can see, there are many options with regards to companies who provide this services. YET, you must make sure you are telling people they are being recorded. If you don't, you can find yourself in a big legal mess. Better safe than sorry!!!

I have had a good run with 'call recorder'
for mac combined with Skype.

If you want to make it sound professional and not that tinny phone style then use skype with the free recorder.

The beauty of the recorder is that it separates both conversations into two channels allowing precise editing with say Audacity.

Google voice does but the quality isn't very good. The other software I tried was even worse. Can't beat a real human transcription.

From the transcription side of things,freeconferencecalling.com is a great method. The recording is clear and easy to transcribe.

I have never heard of Mturk before so thanks for sharing that. I'm going to check to see if I can find someone to transcribe on fiverr.com: Fiverr / Search results for 'transcribe'
