Note - I'm talking about Ed Dale's paid membership site. I'm a long-term fan of Ed's, even if he has become really boring about the Ipad ;-) However, I'm wondering if the PLUS membership is worth it these days. It was great initially but it seemed to me to lose momentum towards the end of last year. Am I just tired and jaded? Pearson Brown |

Honestly, I didn't like it from the very start. I stuck with it for two months and canceled it.

I don't think it's improved since the end of last year. Projects seem to start but never finish. There's some good content in there - but if you're trying to follow one thing through, it can be frustrating. |

Ed Dale is an apple-o-holic, is he really talking about the Ipad in his membership site?

I don't think you're just tired and jaded Pearson. Just found this thread of yours. First of all, thanks for the kind words you sent me in a PM. I was unable to reply because I haven't made enough posts, and couldn't see a contact form at your site. I must give the posts business some attention when I get back from my holidays. I felt the same about the 30dcplus as you do. Until today when I couldn't work out how to easily do something slightly techie via the videos of the service that I was trying to use, said service being one that I pay for. About the same monthly price as the 30dcplus in fact. So I trundled around the stuff I'd downloaded from the 30dcplus and found a couple of really good movies that held my hand through the whole process. Perhaps it depends how experienced at this game each of us is. I see that you joined this forum in 2003, with about 25 times more posts than I've posted. Which make you something like a zillion times as experienced as I ![]() I'm holding on to my subscription for the time being, but it may be that the training is a bit simplistic for many people; certainly some of it goes over ground that Ed's already covered in his blog posts, twitter stream, posterous etc. And I agree about the Apple stuff. I'm not happy when I download a lot of his material and it only tells you how to do things using a Mac. I didn't sign up on the understanding that I had to buy one. I'm not usually grumpy, but on this one I'll join you. Isha |

I'm still a member in spite of my criticisms. I agree with Amanda that they start series and stop them without notice. I was particularly interested in a series about running Webinars - but it just disappeared into thin air. However, I also agree entirely that the training that is there is of the highest quality. May be time to take it to a year round game plan , with maybe guest training for 30 days.
