I don't know if i'm posting this in the right forum. sorry about that!

has anybody used rentacoder to find and hire somebody to work on their website?

I'm in a bit of a bind with them and don't know the best way out.

I put up a bid on the site and got 2 responses. I chose the coder i wanted to work with and paid the money to rentacoder. my money is now in escrow while the coder does the work. the rules of the rentacoder site are that we always communicate through the site; not directly and off-site between the coder and the site owner. My problem is that i need to send the login details and password to the coder. if i do it onsite, everybody can see the info and anybody can get into the back office of my site. If I do it by personal email to the coder, i am breaking the rules of the site. if ever there is a dispute, this might be an issue.

i've written to the facilitator of rentacoder 5 times but have no answer yet.

I thought of sending the info by email to the coder and of signalling it on the website. that way the coder gets the info and I am not really breaking the rules.

does anybody have a suggestion?

I'm working on RAC for years as a coder and as a buyer. I always gived the coders personal details , even my website and my email adress and I never had problems. As long as you keep the payment through RAC every thing should be ok.

You should be able to talk to your coder on a Private Message Board?

Just write up the details you want to give your coder as a Word doc. or a Text file, .zip it up, and send it to them as an attachment to your post.

I've lost count of the number of time I've done it this way, and had no problems
