Best Niche Marketing Course....?

New to this forum...but already loving all the experience sharing!

I've been into IM for the last 8 years and seeing that finding the right niche is crucial! Is there a specific niche marketing course anyone has used that has been beneficial?

I checked out Adam Shorts - Niche Profit Classroom, but after the reviews on this forum decided to hold off.

Just looking for input on the best way to get my niche skills improved!

If a niche has a busy forum or even better, busy forums with plenty of questions being asked in the title of the threads then the chances are you've found a niche ripe for further investigation.

Build up some knowledge in that niche and then research the kinds of questions that keep cropping up in the threads. Read up on the answers given, check on blogs and other authority sites in that niche for other suggestions and answers to these burning questions.

Hey presto! Congratulations you're an expert.

What's your business model or rather how would you like to market once your find your chosen niche?

    Article marketing? Product creation? Blogging?

If you could be a bit more specific then you may got more of a response from other warriors.

Anyhow. Welcome and congrats for making your first post.

    Best Wishes.

    Garry.

      Thanks for the ideas Garry!
My niche is in using alternative medicine therapies for cancer. I've been in the field for over 33 years so well versed for offline marketing, but not online marketing.

Have already found tons of forums, blogs on breast cancer, but not the connection with natural medicine so much. Smaller niche, less competition is good.

Will be marketing ebooks, and already have CD's and DVD's compeleted. Just looking to tie it all together now.

I'm an habitual forum post editor. So by the time you replied I'd (you've guessed it!) edited my post slightly.

        Anyhow...

If you want to reach a wider audience with your methods then its best to look at marketing online.

I'm not familiar with this niche but it seems to me with 33 years experience behind you you're a bit of an expert already. Why not start your own forum? Do a bit keyword research and make sure there's an interest in natural remedies for breast cancer - however I'm sure there's a huge interest.

If you have CDs and DVDs created then consider selling physical products. Check out kunaki.com as their prices are very competitive and they are a known and trusted company.

With that said though I'd consider creating your own forum. Do some promotion on other breast cancer forums with a sig file linking to your forum combined with article marketing and social media marketing. This will get your forum some members and if you really know your stuff then your members will pick up on that.

Just some ideas - I wish you the best of luck though.

        Garry.

EDIT : Just had another idea. Consider YouTube marketing as a way of generating more interest and building your brand. Garry.

There a few 'Guru' products that come to mind but they start at $2k a pop.

I'd recommend googling 'Jason Fladien Poor Man Product Launch'.

He's a mini guru that has plenty of products but this one should give you an idea of how to get started.

After this then start reading the forum searching for posts on product launch.

          Hope that helps

I don't think OP wants to learn about launching products. She wants to learn about niche marketing.

                I agree Dave.

With her initial post I think she was looking for niches but since we've discovered she's found her niche but needs help in deciding business model and promotion.

It seems Shaun needs to read the whole thread. It's only a small one dude!

                Am I right welldoc?

                  Hey Guys,
                  You're both right!

I AM looking for the best niche learning tools for my market - alternative therapies for cancer. Have a bunch of keywords but not sure best way to use these niche words.

Then of course, I need to learn how to launch these products into my niche market.

I think they go hand in hand, but it seems to me the right niche is crucial to start with.

@ Garry - I've considered the forum idea, and you got me thinking about it again. Will do my homework and see if this would work. Women like to gab on forums about such stuff...but it easily gets into crying jags due to the nature of the niche. At least that's what I'm seeing on the Susan Komen forums.

I am biased but Niche Profit Classroom is a good place for you to start although there must be other courses too that will be equally as helpful.

I joined NPC after making money online since 2004 but I had got tied up in knots and needed to clear my head and get back to basics, you could easily find you get 'blown off course' too.

I think you need a step-by-step training course in how to start a Wordpress site and build your blog and establish your personality and reputation and then start to introduce your products.

You have niche skills so you have a great advantage over most of us.

@Mark - that's exactly what has happened! After 8 years of working on IM sites, I've found it's easy to get caught up in the 'guru's who don't really help all that much and get distracted. Thanks for the input on NCP!

@tylerdun - will ck on nichechoppers...

Have ck'd the threads here over and over on niche hunting and found this by a 16 year old that summed it up pretty well. Not sure if I can work as fast as he can but the outline is pretty good. (can't post links yet but here's his thread info: roxstar posted on 12/13/09)

Just make sure you are very careful about buying programs from "gurus" they are lions, and you are a lamb.
