Lightbulb Wordpress Themes- Squeeze Theme Vs Pro Sense Blue

Several months ago I purchased Squeeze Theme wordpress theme from Unique Blog Designs. It is an absolutely stunning theme. It is a beautiful design with just about every widget imaginable. You see I wanted a more professional look. I was looking at blogs such as Pro Blogger and johnchow.com and I wanted to step up my game. It took me several weeks to get it going. I even hired a programmer and designer to do some customizations. It looked fantastic! Very professional. Very slick. Very unlike me. I then starting promoting my posts to my lists. I noticed that my Adsense earnings dropped like a rock! What was the problem? I had the ad blocks in very good locations. But I would say that Adsense was down by 40 percent. I was using a free theme before called Pro Sense Blue. It looked good but nothing like Squeeze Theme which is a work of art. But for Adsense it just did not work as well. I guess I should have known. Every time I try to make my sites look more professional I lose sales. Also Squeeze Theme was really set up for.. well collecting emails and setting up Squeeze Pages. Probably works way better than Pro Sense Blue for that purpose. But also, there is the concept of simplicity. Simpler sells. Look at Google or Paypal web design. They are very streamlined and simple. Maybe I would make more money if I went and de-professionalized all my sites! Food for thought. I wrote more about this on my blog here.
Let me know what you think. Thanks. Matt.
Why I Switched From Squeeze Theme Back To ProSense Blue Wordpress Theme
