Hey Fellow Warriors,

Just curious if anyone has had any level of success with Butterfly marketing?

Some of the testimonials I've seen seem pretty extreme - therefore unbelievable.

Anyone here tried it out? If so were the results thumbs up or thumbs down?

The software works. The code is a bit sloppy, but it works. And is easier to use than all most any all-in-one membership script. Plus it is designed to sell in the information business world. Butterfly marketing is a system and membership script first and foremost, it won't make you rich unless you have a good product (or service)..

I once got a pdf that was called Butterfly Marketing, with a few thousand dollar upsell...no thanks.

Butterfly Marketing is pretty good.

I would rank it one of the best products I have ever bought.

Now, don't believe the testimonials. I mean, they are true (why won't they be) but you probably won't be able to get that amount of success with it (not just yet). All the guys you see are big name gurus and making 100k on launch day is easy as taking candy from child for them.

In simple language, Butterfly Marketing is about product launches. But if you wanna get a copy, I would say get it because the information in there is pure gold.

BTW, the butterfly marketing script is one of the best scripts I have ever used to run a site. It makes my life easier.

I've never really been able to "get it" because I've never really heard it explained in depth

I use Butterfly Marketing (aka BM) and here are some truth that you need to know:

BM codes are not the best. I've seen better ones.
BM script setup can take some time.
BM software is built for Internet Marketing. ie. upsell, downsell, OTO, viral, affiliate, etc.
BM has made many gurus richer
BM has made many smaller gurus become big gurus
BM has help many newbies make money
BM scripts has become one of the backbone of the IM industry

So is it good? Of course...

Now, as a disclaimer, I do work for Mike. But only the past 2 years. I have been using the script since the DAY it was released in Jan. 2006. And I continue to use it.

It IS complex to set up if you:

- Don't know all the features
- Don't know what you want from your site
- Don't understand how some of the features can help or hurt your site/conversions.

But as has been stated many times before, if you can see a good use for the script, by all means - grab it. When you do get to know it, you will really like it. I have used other scripts - including JV Manager 2, Launch Formula Marketing and others. They all have their pluses and minuses. But I keep going back the the butterfly script because I can set up a site and be ready to take orders usually in a few hours. Some sites are more complex.

There is also a "stigma" of all BFM sites looking alike. But - again, when you get to know the script - you can use most any template. Take a look at 2 sites I did recently. Most people (Mike Filsaime included) never guessed these are butterfly sites:

Get yourself a decent PHP coder and you can do wonders with this script and I predict the developers forum will produce some cool things.

ok, but has BM done for these sites you mention? Do you get more traffic than before? To my mind its all about traffic, of course conversion ratio is even more important but this is something we cannot expect from a software.

This is a membership script which has a few marketing tools, such as One Time Offers, downsells, etc. It is not designed to GET traffic - only make the most of the traffic you DO get.

You have to send the traffic.

Conversion is also up to you - copy writing is not included with the script either

Now, if you want to get ADDITIONAL traffic, use the built-in affiliate area, create killer promo tools, have a great product and hungry affiliates and they will bring you traffic.

As Mike and others have said, it is the software (the system) to support your site setup.

You still need all the good bits. Traffic generation, Sales Copy, a good product.


Two points worth mentioning.

The system does lead you to an offer with an upsell/OTO as a matter of course.
So that is good for new people who would go.... (I will worry about an upsell later)


Second.
There is a certain familiar vibe that your members will get. (encouraging them to use the viral tools) That's a good thing.

Thanks Mike - great to hear from an authentic testimonial provider. My appologies if I was doubtful - its just that there are so many promoters who aren't trutful that it makes me skeptical until you hear a more in depth post such as yours.

This has been a helpful thread. I've been looking for a script like this, but I would like to outsource the script installation. Does anyone know if there are any ready made template sites that already have BFM installed?

If not, does anyone know of any programmers that work specifically with the script?

BM is a good script, I've been using it for over a year now.
I have like 20-30 sites using Butterfly marketing Script.

Back when I was a newbie, yes BM is a lil bit complex. Especially setting up your site for the first time. I've been using RAP and AMember for comparison.

It also has few bugs, but the good thing is it's updated regularly.

Just spend more time to learn the script.

I made few thousands subcribers using it, and some money too.

My most successful campaign using BM is to make one site that give away free report with $7 one time offer, and make another site tha has $7 ebook at front and $17 video as one time offer.

But... You will not get rich fast using it. Just like other things, focus and persistent are needed

As for Mike Ambrosio ( you may know me from BFM Forum,sir ), yes you can develop good site using the script, but it will cost you more money, and it won't be cheap.

The PDF and Video are also good (agree with M. Afaq ), Golden Info. Specially for newbies, great info about list building, viral marketing and product launches..
