Default Traffic Geyser $1 Trial

Good morning,

I can't believe I can't find any reviews on Traffic Geyser here so sorry for this post if it's redundant. I'm just wondering what people think of this program.

I signed up for the $1 trial with high expectations. So far, not impressed. It took me literally hours to get up and running with a video to upload. I used the tools they provide but frankly, I could do better using jingproject.com and manually uploading my own videos in the time it took me to get this going.

I also bought the "preconfigured profile" option for $47. Total waste, btw. I thought it would save me time but it took them 3 days (instead of the promised 1 day) to get access to that.

Then, when I finally did get everything uploaded through their system, at least half of my submissions failed.

Oh, and so far, my video hasn't shown up in search results.

Can you believe I'm still hopeful that this works? I'm willing to be patient if the payoff is good. Does anyone have anything good to say about TG????

many thanks,

Eunice

Hi,

I used TG between Oct 09 and Mar 10 and I wasn't overly impressed with it. I even had a FREE coaching session because I explained that I was underwhelmed with the results for my site Review Truth About Abs dot Info that I felt should be ranking much higher than it ever did, considering I was using their video and podcasting syndication service.

I chose to set up the profile page myself, which did take quite a few hours to do, but at least I have those account openings for me, whatever I do now.

I eventually discontinued my membership with them in Mar 10. By the way, my site reached Google's page 9 out of 5,000,000+ competing pages, so I guess it did benefit from the video submissions, although not to the extent that I felt justified the $99 per month.

I've since signed up to Tubemogul for free, although I haven't actually used it because I've focussing my efforts on blogging, article marketing, and blog commenting in the past couple of months.

So, to recap, I used TG and it didn't meet my expectations, but it is reputed to be an excellent tool.

Thanks
Chronic Tinnitus

Ummm there's plenty of threads on TG:

Easy Push Button Traffic, Traffic Geyser, Hey Spread, TubeMogul? What do you think about them?

Traffic Geyser FirePower Offline Business Builder

SENuke vs Traffic Geyser vs BookmarkingDemon?

Traffic Geyser vs VideoBot

etc. etc. (just have to type Traffic Geyser in the search box...)

Not sure why it took you hours to get started, the training video on how to get started is only about 15 minutes long (I think) basically you just click through the different submission screens...

Unless you mean to create a video, in which case that can be as long or as simple as a person chooses (I use camtasia myself)

Your videos not showing in the search results has more to do with your choice of keyword selection than it does the software, the same could be said for any marketing software (the "I'm not ranking for XYZ")

How much broad match / phrase match competition did your video's keywords have? Were there already videos ranking on Google for that keyword (makes it harder) etc.

Also when did you submit the video?

I just had a full Traffic Geyser profile ordered and setup yesterday for $10 (but I hire someone in India to do it for me...might be worth looking into in the future...took the guy less than 12 hours to do!)

I use Traffic Geyser and have been loving it, but like I said...its a tool...no different then a paintbrush or a hammer...it can make you lot of money if used properly

Now I mostly use TG for marketing offline businesses (which pay anywhere from $500 - $4,700 for a marketing promotion) and I absolutely love the scheduling feature which lets me basically setup a marketing campaign on auto-pilot for a full year in advance =)

Add to that the automatic podcasting conversion feature for traffic Itunes and its amazing.

Now don't get me wrong, if I can find a solution that allows for pre-scheduling, repeat submissions (through converting the video to new formats) and podcasting...I'd be down for looking at it.

But considering I submit about 15 - 30 videos a week, I get my money's worth!

That being said, its really only useful if used to its fullest!

Cheers,

~Dexx

waynest, thanks for your review.

Dexx, ummmm, I did type "traffic geyser" into search. Results I got were not relevant. I know how to do a search.

MODERATOR I checked that out. You are seriously mistaken.

Read my post again. I mentioned that I was using their tools to create a video.

Keywords I was searching for were local, not much competition at all. No videos at all for my keyword phrase. My video was created and uploaded on Thursday, April 15th so I would think there would be something showing up by now.

If I was paying $10 a month for this service, I'd be happy. At $97 a month, I expect a lot more.

As for your comment, Dexx, that it's only a tool to be used like a hammer or paintbrush, you're right. However, this particular tool is pretty useless since, according to the snapshot in the software, over half of my submissions failed due to improper login. Not my fault since I used their "preconfigured profile".
