I would like to know anyone's favorite platform for creating smaller niche sites to make $$... do you like Wordpress, XSitePro, or do you prefer free web 2.0 properties like LiveJournal, Squidoo, Wetpaint, etc and why? Or do you just flat-out think larger blogs are better for niche markets? Looking for any and all opinions out of interest. Thanks! Cindy P. |

I use a variety, but in my opinion wordpress is the best as you can customize it with themes, have a load of different widgets and isn't bad for SEO.

Thanks you guys! I hope we can keep this going, it is interesting to know all the different ways to do this. One more thing about everyone's favorites, if you use Wordpress or similar, do you like to dyi, tweak templates, or buy custom designs? I hope this thread helps newbies get started or move forward in their business goals. ![]() Cindy P. |

Zivaviv, I was very interested in trying XSitePro for landing pages, it would be very helpful (for all, I think) if you could give a little insight as to why you like it. Thanks to all for joining in - Wordpress does seem to be favored so far. (I like it as well.) Any experience with custom templates - like do they help your conversion rate? Or are there other preferred platforms? Thanks again to everyone here for helping out with your input! Cindy P. |
