Default mailchimp vs aweber

anybody is using mailchimp to build subscriber list?
As far as I see, most are using aweber and it has been recommended a lot
How does mailchimp compare? It seems to be free for up to 500 subscribers

Thanks,

Alex.

I have not used both, so I cannot compare the two.

However, I have subscribed to lists run on both Mail Chimp and Aweber. As a subscriber, I have found the Aweber subscriptions to be much more professional and technologically-updated.

I run all my lists on Aweber, and I am quite please with their service. Although the price can be somewhat high (about $20/month), their service is straight forward and the learning curve is small.

Has anyone here had experience with both services?

Thank you. Most people recommend aweber as well.

Mailchimp wins this round..
I had a bad experience with aweber with this once. They would not approve my email list and insisted that none of them were actual email addresses. I even rang them and tried to tell them that they were all double opt-in addresses and that they were ALL active email addresses that I send regular emails to with another service, but they would not budge so I ended up closing my account.

I have always wondered about mailchimp though so your information was helpful. I think I might give them a try next.

Fyi, mailchimp does not allow affiliate marketing via their autoresponder. It's mostly targeted for corporate companies which send out their newsletters etc.

Shame really. Mailchimp really looks promising.

I was wondering how mailchimp is doing these days... any customer here on the warrior forum? how do they relate to promoting IM stuff and specifically doing affiliate marketing?

I've used aweber since 2008 and to this day I'm satisfied with their service.

Thanks,

Remi Vee

I use Mailchimp and MadMimi for lists. I'm a big fan of both. The customer service with both companies is great.

I avoided aweber because the number of affiliate marketers on their system.
