WP Robot - Who's Made Money With It???

I recently became aware of WP Robot V3.

I want to know:

1) Who has made significant money (i.e. > Cost of Program) with it?

2) If you have used other autoblogging programs (i.e. Caffeinated Content (CC) ), how does it compare?

I don't want groupie comments! I want facts and figures.

This is a serious chunk of change. I have been using CC, but its functionality is limited.

Serious comments only!

Peace!
Monkey

I've had the elite version (v2) for sometime and upgraded to V3 recently. And then deactivated it very quickly and went back to V2. V3's been hurried and has a number of bugs. It's overly complicated to use and very fiddly to set up.

For now, whether I'll move up to v3 remains to be seen. V2 works fine and if it ain't broke why fix it? I doubt whether you can buy v2 now though. One other point is if you want to scrape images from flickr or get Yahoo answers you'll need to apply to both companies for an api number otherwise you want be able to get content form these sources.

You might want to read the WPRobot forum WP Robot Support Forum to see other people's comments on the latest version. It doesn't make good reading!

2 others worth considering are Blogsense and wp tweetbomb

I've not tried either but I've read good things about both. I've been offered a one month trial of Blogsense and will give it a go. Tweetbomb looks interesting because it creates traffic from Twitter too.

And no, I've not made any money on my autoblogs using WPRobot yet. That's not WPRobot's fault though, it does what it supposed to do. It creates CONTENT not traffic. And V2 does that very well. But that's not enough to get tons of traffic to your site.

Having the best content whether it's provided by WPRobot or not is meaningless if you can't get traffic to your site. I can create good sites with ease these days, but as usual it's getting the sites high enough on Google to generate traffic which is my problem!

It depends what you mean by "made money".

WP robot didn't bring direct money, but because of the article autoposter I was able to sell my blog for 70$

EDIT: I did not sell the blog with the Autoposter. People liked the articles and that's why they bought my site

Ive actually made money with it. Now, I didnt just setup a blog, run the plugin and forget about it though. I did pretty good keyword research, wrote 10 uniques articles then ran it and basically forgot about it.

Then rinse, repeat and move onto the next site. Ive got about 20 sites now that I did this for and they bring in a modest $300-$500 per month. I could probably double that if I would do any type of backlinks though. My keywords have so liitle competition (1500-2000 seraches per month) that I rank pretty good as soon as they get indexed.

On a side note, I had another 10 sites that I flipped for over $1500 (sold them all in one listing). They were making around $150 per month total. I dont have a developers license (but I need to) so I would buy a new license for my buyer so you have to subtract that from the $1500 though.

Was going to play with version 3.0 this weekend but I think Ill wait until some of the bugs are worked out.

So yes, you can make money with it but it does invlove some work on your part. I guess you could setup some pure autoblogs (with no unique content) but you would need a crap load of sites to pull in any real income. I only use the article, amazon and clickbank plugins.

Any more questions, please ask and I will be happy to help.

        Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I have a handful of autoblogs currently. I'm using Caffeinated Content. On one blog I incorporated Amazon products into some CC templates. I pull from Youtube and Yahoo Answers (I don't use a Yahoo API). I monetize with the Amazon products and Adsense. I get the most money when people buy something from Amazon. Adsense may pull a $1 or two per blog/day, but some days nothing. I have the adsense well placed and get anywhere from 20 to 100 unique visitors/day per blog.

Using CC I don't do any translation, or anything to make the content unique. For one of my blogs it will rank better for a particular Youtube video (in Google organic search), than the original video. That was before any backlinkg, but now I have some and rankings are increasing for the main blogs.

I used to have a scheduler for CC so I could control the content for several blogs from one location, but it is no longer supported. I wish WP Robot could control several blogs from one location.

The reason I'm looking at it is that it can pull the content fresh daily with cron, whereas CC you have to login in every month (that's what I would do.) and load up a months worth of content, which is very very slow.

Thanks guys and keep the feedback coming!

Thanks James, but as dotcomdesigns pointed out, WP 3 is having some serious issues. When those get worked out it sounds as though it will be all good.

Have you made a lot of money with it?

Ya know, I've been wondering if anybody is getting results from those expensive low-profile wheels and tires? Are they really worth the money? I mean, do they really work? Can I really drive my car around town on them?

They're SO expensive! A set of wheels and tires are nearly $3000!

        I'm really torn....

I make money out of WP Robot. Mostly through Adsense, but I also have Whydowork Adsense installed (free). What I find works best is using it to find Yahoo Answers pages and Youtube videos. I don't even translate the pages, just slap on Adsense through WDW and Robert's your father's brother.

Someone mentioned WPTweetBomb too, which is also an awesome plugin for Yahoo Answers (amongst others), with the added functionality of the backlinks it creates by tweeting your posts to as many twitter accounts as you like. WPTB is without a doubt the best plugin for creating trends sites, these are easy to get high traffic for but difficult to monetise because the traffic is so broad and not specific to a single niche.
