    Hey,

I'll help out the best I can.

As a disclaimer, I've known Andy for awhile. And I know he's a great programmer, and I know him (nor John) would ever put their names on anything that didn't work.

I've seen the insides of this thing, how it works, and to my knowledge there's nothing out there like it.

Regarding the quality of the links, I'm not sure. Andy is really smart when it comes to SEO (I don't know John well enough to comment but I'm sure he is too), and he's got this thing figured out where the links are coming from relevant websites.

I haven't had time to put it to the test myself (only went live yesterday) so I can't share my experience.

I will say it's free, in my eyes the concept is very innovative and will definitely work as advertised.

So my advice would be to give it a shot. It's free and only takes a few minutes.

Definitely can't hurt to test it out.

    Hope that helps.

Well I'm rather biased of course but the software has been a long time in development and I stand by the quality of it.

So far the only issues we've seen is a couple of people unable to install it because their hosting company is incredibly out of date (and I mean years behind).

I don't want this to sound all promotional so I'm going to leave this post here and just keep to answering specific questions if and when they come up. Just wanted you guys to know I'm monitoring the thread

        Cheers,

        Andy

The outgoing links are completely contained within the VLN software section. So, yes, they are outgoing links from your domain but not from the site itself. If you don't link to the VLN install then no one will know it is there.

But don't worry, Google will. Due to the backlinks being built to the install and our own indexation techniques (since it's in our interest to get as many indexed as possible).

I'm doing what I can, so far support requirements have been pretty low thankfully

The last thing I bought from Andy Fletcher, BacklinkFlood, was the "mutts bits" (Essex colloquialism for tremendously good), it helped me enormously and definitely made me money.

For no cost, it has to be worth the risk!

I looked at the video and at the material that comes with the download, and I got to say that I don't really "get it".
It's not quite clear to me what this program does, exactly.

It kind of looks like it installs something like a separate site which is basically a link-farm, on your server?
Reminds me a bit of thos article directories that you upload to your server.

But again: I'm not quite sure if that's what it really is, since the video is very vague about it all.

Some clarification would be very welcome.

Will Hostgator sites work with this program? Any sample sites showing increased ranking?

    Thanks,

Should be no problem with Hostgator I guess

Andy/John. Are you aware quite a few people have not yet gotten their links? Messages left on Allen's blog about this.

It's definitely not a link farm. It's a fully moderated directory script that gives you complete control over exactly what's shown. It also automates the viral linking system so everyone you refer carries links to your site.

Definitely. The bulk of my testing was carried out on a Hostgator server

Thanks Barb. I'm currently trying to figure out why we're seeing the delivery issues. In the meantime I'm working on sending out another confirmation email to those that haven't received it. Anyone that wants to speed the process up can drop me an email at support@virallinknetwork.com and I'll get a confirmation link over to you ASAP.

You can get technical support by emailing support@virallinknetwork.com or popping along to our forum at SEO Backstage.

I want to avoid turning this thread into a tech support thread if possible.

Trying to get mt head around this baby.

What happens if you do not have anyone to refer this to as in a list?

Does that mean it is not for noobs like me?

This very much is for "noobs like you". Let me take a moment to explain why as I'm sure you're not the only one wondering.

Firstly, the software itself comes with a very powerful link exchange system that automates the process of getting people to link back to you in exchange for a listing on your site. It even scans the links back to you periodically to make sure they are still there.

What's more, we do it with "offset" links not reciprocal links. So the links back to you can be required to somewhere else. So you could setup the Viral Link Network software anywhere you like and drive the links to your money page.

Secondly, the whole point of the viral link building aspect is that you don't need to tell 100s of people to get it to work. You only need to tell a handful of other website owners and then let them do the same.

It's the same concept as multi-level marketing except you don't have to convince people to buy or sell anything they just need to realise the power of telling a few people for free.

I hope that helps clear things up,

          Andy

Does that mean i will need to have outgoing links folder of my main domain and host various links there as they keep arriving?

Like others on this thread, I'm a bit confused. I watched the video, downloaded the software, read the guides, and I still don't get it. I'll probably buy a domain to throw the software on to see if running it answers my questions, but I'm not sure that's going to do it.

I can't see this thing going viral if I don't even understand it, and my background is software engineering. But I'd love to be proven wrong. I've got a bunch of sites that need links and I'm looking for all the automation I can get.

    Pat

P.S. I'd be happy to have a private email exchange or phone conversation if anyone would like to help me get unconfused. Just PM me and we can set something up.

I think the best way to get a definitive view is to trial the software. Unfortunately when I try to register I'm not getting the email to verify my account
