What is the best speech recognition software you have used?

Dragon Naturally Speaking is by far the best. If you don't have $100 or a computer that can run it, Vista comes with a speech recognition tool, you just need a headset.

DNS works great. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to run on Win 7 64bit. I tried the Microsoft pre-installed speech recognition and I gotta say: I'm getting the same results with it that I got with DNS. Recognition is just as good and it's actually better than DNS at analyzing texts you've already written and correctly interpreting names, brand-names and other unusual expressions you've previously used.

I just purchased DNS 10 which is working a treat - even with a Scottish accent.
Got it on eBay for just under £40 (Sterling),well worth the investment.

I had to upgrade to 10.1, but that did the trick for Win 7 / 64 bit. Btw, I believe it's a free upgrade from either 9 or 10.0.

DNS is the only one I have used (and like it just fine).
However, I haven't used it since recently upgrading to
Windows 7... from reading these posts, sounds like I
may have some software upgrading to do!
