hello,
i heard a lot of good things about seo spyglass. they offer a free version and they say that it has 99% of the functionality of the paid one. did anyone tried this free version, is it good or i have to use the paid one directly

    yep its nice to have - it wont list all of the backlinks (but most of them) and you cant save the results..

    I tried the free version, and found that if I really wanted to make proper use of it then I would have to buy the paid version. Just simple things like exporting competitor link urls to plug into other software, for example, is only available with the paid version.

    I think the biggest differences are

    1. You can't save the data you find

    2. The backlinks they find are only limited to 1000/1200

    3. The free version only uses the results from yahoo site explorer, whereas the paid one uses google results (a much clearer picture)

    I use free version of seo spyglass.Its really nice and good.But one thing i want to share with you that it does not give full access to do all the things.It cost $99 per month than you can get full access.

      99$ /month is too expensive. all the seo tools are very expensive. some of them are more expensive than windows. even windows won't ask you for a 100$ monthly fees. This open the door for the crackers and stolen copies. If they ask for a reasonable price they will sell more and get more reputation.

    With the free version you also cannot click on the links which is a bit frustrating - but what I do cheapa$$ that I am - I just type in the url that way I can check the backlink.
