What do you think of 123Greetings Connect?

123Greetings, one of the leading online ecards website, has started offering a service to import contacts from various networks so that ecards could be sent more easly. Unlike most ecards services. you can edit or delete ecards after they been sent. Seems that they are coming up with Birthday and event alerts too.

What do you all think?

    As a user of Send Out Cards and having sent real paper cards, gifts and candy right from my computer to friends, family and associates...I can't see the benefit of sending a disposable and impersonal "e-card." I'm sorry but...they simply don't, won't and can't give the receiver or the giver the emotionally charged impact that a real card does or can. One of my aunt's was so moved by the card I sent (she actually thought I'd burnt gas and time running to the store to buy a card JUST for her!) that she still has that card displayed in her kitchen for all to see! LOL!

    With that kind of result...? I'd never use an e-card again! Oh and besides, my aunt doesn't own a computer...and wouldn't begin to know how to even turn one on! :-D

    P.S--And NO, I'm NOT a SOC rep. Just a happy customer who LOVES their service!

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good to learn about Send out cards - didn't know that you send additional gifts as well.

      for people who prefer physical objects as greetings/ gifts, there is definitely no substitution. I respect what they cherish. it is totally different experience - similar to how sending digital photos and printed photos.

      i feel that the world is heading toward digital for various reasons...I have used other services that stand out for sending ecards, but 123greetings seem to stand out as it is free and they offer a wide range of ecards. What I like about the new feature Connect is that I can also get birthday reminders now and maintain my address book online. An easy way for me to schedule a card as i get a reminder... they have some other features too which I would like to try very soon.
