Article Marketing Automation (AMA) - Quality Control Or Just Supporting Angry Blog Owners?

Hi there

I have been using AMA for over 1 year now with at least 2000 articles in the blog distribution system.

My acceptance rate is 96% so there is nothing wrong with the quality of the articles I am sending out. This is because I get someone to write them for me and I don't use spinners, and if I do, I make sure I do a good job - hence the 96% acceptance rate.

You can check out my stats here:

You have 2,315 articles registered on the system. Those articles have been presented 262,169 times for consideration by site owners.

The articles have been approved 202,218 times and rejected 8,007 times, which means your articles have a rejection rate of 4%. A total of 51,944 copies are still waiting for a decision by site owners.

REJECTION RATE OF 4%!

But lately, since their new "update" to "reduce spam" I am getting my account suspended because of some nut case blog owner complaining that my "CREDIT CARD" article is in the wrong category when it's under "Finance: Credit".

I have received like 20 of these non existence complaints (Eg. I have an article for "how to catch a cheating spouse" being flagged as in the wrong category when it's in "relationships: conflict"). Then I got my account SUSPENDED!?

Is anyone else getting unfairly penalized?

spam will always happened in AMA system.

If you have been penalized.. why don't you quit as a paid subscriber and use another AMA service. Better quit than waste money every month

    Why not quit?

Because AMA is the most effective system around and we support our members.

Out of over 148,644 individual keyword rankings, 62% of them have first page rankings.

    29% have #1 rankings

    Now....

Jacksolin I spoke with Gerry and he mentioned you specifically, said you were VERY good about it and understood why etc.

It's not that your being unfairly penalized, its more this point.

It's based on blog owners feedback, for a normal user it is no issue, 1 knock back here or there, even multiple. No problems.

But when you have 1000's of articles and or have hundreds active at any one time, as you can imagine it would be quite easy to have a few articles get knocked back simultaneously.

This will cause your account for review.

We are looking at a more Pro account option for users like you, but don't you think it would have been a better idea to get in touch with Gerry again? or even log a support ticket and ask to speak to me?

I'd love to resolve the issues with you since you are more of a power user and it can help us tweak the settings so you get less issues.

Plus as I said I have something coming up for power users.

Please pm me your skype or email, I can't reply to PM's yet until I hit over x posts.

Next time please try the support system first, rather than a public forum where it will do you zero good.

I only found this out of luck that my guy you were talking too, searched here to see if there were any complaints from spammers abusing the system.

One such person has done 46,000 articles.... which is purely duplicates of 5 total original articles. That's why it was brought in.

Though we don't wish to penalize current users, so there has to be a good balance.

Cheers and looking forward to talking with you.

    Hi Marc

    Thanks for your response.

I'm a bit disappointed about the negativity at the start of your post.

I don't think you have been up to date with Gerry because I have sent him more emails than he has responded. However, I will PM you as advised.

Since this is not a support forum I will PM you, but I'm asking for opinion for other users.

Since AMA is a big blog network, I am thinking other users might have this problem. I made a thread about it on this forum, because AMA is an internet marketer's product and this is the best internet marketing forum on the internet.

If other users don't then, I think it's something that I need to resolve and improve upon.

However if other users do have this issue, then I think it's only valid that we can talk about it and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new upgrade from a perspective of an article distributor. I think that would be reasonable.

I am not bad mouthing this upgrade, on the contrary I'm looking for an open ended discussion as you can see from my wording it is very clear that I'm frustrated but I'm not saying anything about the effectiveness regarding AMA and thus I'm not attacking it.

I'm just referring specifically to the update and I wanted to see what other users thought of it since I cannot communicate with the others. That's why I'm on this forum, therefore it would produce some fruitful outcomes.

Any update Jack? Did they reactivate your account?

My account has been suspended today due to the wrong category submitted, just logged a support ticket and waiting for their reply.

Yes, I sent them a few emails and we had to go back and forths for a bit, but eventually they whitelisted me because I had so many articles in the system and I was bound to get SOME issues. I have more than 2500 spun articles in there.

I think if you communicate with them they are reasonable.

That's great for you! I have only 600-700 articles in there, with 7% rejection rate. Still waiting for their reply.

Just be sure you aren't rude and let them know you're willing to communicate.

But honestly, some of the blog owners in the system are really silly. I had a credit card article put in the "Finance: Credit" category and then the blog owner reported me for the wrong category.

    Seriously, that's just stupid.

So I understand where you're coming from.

It certainly agree it sucks when site owners give stupid reports like that. On the other hand, there are many people who post junk articles in the system or deliberately select the wrong article category. I have one site (fashion-related) thats been getting car articles on and off this past week. Another site (sports-related, with it's own distinct category in AMA) has had quite a few articles come through for it, but almost none of them have actually been related to the category topic!

So I can see why they might get a bit trigger happy with banning people. Glad they finally sorted things out for you though.

If AMA still won't accept you, just move over to My Article Network, it's the same distribution network.

Otherwise alternatives are Article Ranks and Unique Article Wizard, although I'm also having some issues with UAW too - too many articles being submitted? What a strange problem to have when their entire business is distributing articles for you.

That's like KFC running out of chickens and then banning you for wanting to buy chicken.

ok, just figured out that they banned me not because of the wrong category I submitted to, but rather the content of my site - Male enhancement. I did ask them about this topic back to 2 years ago before I join, and it seems like they have changed the rule of the game now...

According to the reply from Gerry, basically they will just ban your account if your site is promoting any pharma related product that has not been approved by FDA.

So why not just remove the article and then get unbanned again? Or its a permanent ban?

    @John34 & Jamestan81

I've told them the same thing as I will remove all my articles which promoting male enhancement site, here's the reply,

    ================================================== ================
    C.K

Your account has not just been terminated, it has been banned. Your articles have been deleted from our database and your old details are being blocked from being added back into our system.

To create a new account you will have to create a new paypal account as well. But put dubious articles into our system again and that account will also be terminated.

Realistically though, anything pharma related we will reject. Unless the product is FDA approved and verified by extensive blind clinical trials, then there is too high a risk in publishers taking your content. We simply don't want to know about it.

So before going to the effort of creating another account, have a think about what sites you are promoting. If they are G rated things such as dog training, then you are welcome back in. If you are going straight back to a gray area, then I would suggest looking for a more flexible distribution network that can meet your needs.

    Regards

    Gerry
    ================================================== ================

It's all just because I've submitted articles that promote my male enhancement site, which they gave me the green light to do so back to 2 years ago before I join. No notification of policy update (well may be I missed it), no warning... great communication though.

I know what you mean. Stupid blog owners marked one of my articles as spam, and so it gets suspended, then my entire account gets suspended too.

If the article is spam, why does it have 96% acceptance rate with close to 100 published? How in the world would that be considered spam?? Unbelievable.

Log a support ticket to them see if you account has been blocked (like me) or simply suspended, if you are lucky you can still have you account/articles back.

    Good luck.

This thread popped up in a general search query for AMA. Yes, I know I am tagging onto an old thread, but my questions related to this are current:

    1) Is AMA still in business?

    2) Are they still connected to the My Article Network system?

    3) Is there any current value to AMA?

    Hey Guys.

    1. Absolutely it gets updated constantly and we monitor it heavily.

    2. It's the other way around, MAN is connected to us

    3. Yes it works brilliantly thats why other networks connect to us and it runs very well.

If you feel your account was suspended improperly just send me a PM and I'll personally look into it.

We are very good with going over suspended accounts, its not a one way thing, we always give notice when its done, and highlight why it was done then ask for corrections to be made.

You will find it is those that put in 100's of spammy articles and do not want to modify them that end up getting permabanned. Or annoyed when all of their articles are removed.

So please feel free to drop me a PM.

    Cheers
    Marc
