Magic Submitter-Any Updates?

Hello,

The main thread on this was locked so I was wondering if the bugs have been ironed out

I played with it when it was in beta shortly before release and didn't feel like it was ready for release

I really don't have time to mess with a program that still has hiccups...so just wondering if the issues have gotten ironed out yet

I think Alexandr is one of the best programmers in the biz so I am confident the issues people were having will be straighted out

Thanks

-Mark

MS is still evolving and there are hiccups and bugs, but you are right Alex is a great programmer and MS is being updated constantly.
Despite some problems i am glad i got in at the beginning the price was just to good to pass on.

He has just added a ping service that pings all URL's that you have submitted content to, this was one feature lacking from beta version. The other feature which i really like is the designer module, you can add unlimited services to post your content to.

I am sure it will be on a par with SENuke within a few weeks, (at half the price) if you give it another try in about 2 weeks it should be running smoothly by then.
They do offer a money back guarantee so if you still don't like it just get a refund.

Agreed - I got in on the Beta myself and glad I bought it. It's like SEOLinkVine - there are hiccups when something first starts up, no big deal (or else we'd all be driving the Model T).

Alex is not only a good programmer - he's an amazing businessman as well. I have tried other services where it's an arm and a leg to get a reply (profitinstruments is a recent example, took $197 and now it's like trying to move a mountain to get that back). With Alex, I was having trouble with the database updating, he's not only fixed that but he took the time to walk me thru it all in a gmail chat.

He's definitely won my confidence and respect as a consumer.

Bought it today and still buggy, its better than the beta but still has a long way to go (if you compare it to Senuke) and shouldn't have been released so soon in my opinion.

Also the whole monthly fee just doesnt sit well for me as the time spent in designer mode trying to get things to work (baby sitting) feels as if "why am I paying for this monthly?"

Will stick it out for a month or so and see if Alex polishes it up more if not then I am asking for a refund. If it was running 100% it would be an awesome tool.

Is this another windows based program? I have a Mac and get frustrated with the lack of good Internet marketing programs for the Mac. You'd think there would be more. Find lots of people on here and other IM forums that are mac users

I'm with you totally on this!! Its is so frustrating (at least Market Samurai works on Mac). Once you get used to a Mac and its lack of constant crashing like a PC, not having access to these IM products on our plaftorm drives me mad.

I did actually speak to Alex directly on this some time ago. He said the only way possible was to run Parallels or similar on the Mac - but that kind of defeats the object - it's still then running on a PC.

I'm not a techie nor a programmer, so i dont know why, but it is interesting that despite knowing Internet Explorer is a bloody awful browser, all these products run on it (SE Nuke, MS etc). There has to be a reason for that, in so far as it's many floors will allow things to work that better browsers wont?

Just saying - BUT i REALLY wish someone would resolve the issue and come up with a Mac based product or one that works on both platforms

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but thats not going to happen with very many Im products. The market is still predominantly windows based and programmers have to make the decision to "translate/port" their code over for the MAc do testing and support etc. Major headache for a much smaller market of users. Its purely an economic factor that bars many software programmers from creating native MaC software.

That would be true except for the fact that Market Samurai did it via Adobe Air. Air is platform independent, and smart developers know that business Mac users are serious people who come back for more. So, from an economic standpoint, if you develop with Air, you can serve everybody and not worry about that small segment of Mac users (relative to PC users) damaging the bottom line.

Of course, you have to learn to use Air, which is (I'm guessing) the problem with it. Knowing Adobe, there may be steep fees attached, too. I dunno. All I do know is...

I'm going to have to buckle down and buy a dedicated PC for these kinds of programs!

I think I speak for MANY Mac users when I say I will NEVER use an emulator on my Mac. Besides taking an enormous processor hit, there is the security and safety issue that is posed by using PC software of any kind. By "running a PC" on my Mac, I'm opening it up to the very same virus problems PC's have.

          No way. Not gonna happen.

IF you've got a mac, you can get windows on there. Just use windows for your IM stuff and the mac side for everything else. I don't see the problem?

The problem with AIR is that it uses Flash internally and can only be programmed with Action Script. As a programmer you'd have to be MAD to develop large projects in such a language.

Java on the other hand is a viable solution. The Link Assistant tools are all written in Java. And I C# can be made to run on other platforms, too but that is a little more involved than Java I think.
