    Hi Danny

I too have moved away from Dreamwevaer, as I find it too bulky, complex and slow for what I need

I personally use Seamonkey Suite, which is primarily a browser suite but also has 'Composer' which is a VERY good HTML WYSIWYG editor and free

For PHP & other coding standards, I use Bluefish, again, very good and free

    Hope that helps

I like Dreamweaver I use it everyday but I also have WAMP and Komodo saved on a 2g memory stick for on the go.

Komodo has syntax highlighting and code hinting just as dreamweaver.

Wamp lets you almost get a live view (you have to save and refresh the page)

      BOTH ARE FREE

I have a WordPress site but the HTML editor built in to it isnt great. So I use Dreamweaver to arrange my pages or posts and then paste in to Wordpress

If you're using a Mac, try Coda. I really like it, and it's not that expensive.

Microsoft Expression Web 3. Very well done, easy to use, powerful as well. And, gives you proper code, so you can design visually if you want to. I was most impressed when I saw it. You can find it on eBay. As I used to do things by hand and then in DW, this makes things faster and more organized. I agree that since Adobe took it over, the suite to my mind has become bloated. The last good iteration was under Macromedia and that was Studio 8.
