Best Affiliate software

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy and install affiliate software on my site, I've been looking at a number of options 2 seem to stand out as the best PHP Post Affiliate Pro and Allaffiliatepro.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these ? Or could recommend any other system?

    PAP has much more accurate tracking (it use flash cookie tracking), it has much more features, which you can use later for specific promotions. Some features you will not find in other affiliates softwares (like split commissions, etc.)

    Flash Cookie tracking is based on flash storage, where PAP store visitor id
    Simple visitor can't delete it by deleting browser cookies (it is stored on file system and you need to really know what you are searching for to delete it manually).

    Next advantage is, that it supports also cross browser tracking (e.g. click is done in Internet Explorer, but sale was done in Firefox - PAP will track it right, because flash storage is same for all browsers)

    Your affiliates will love, that visitors can't delete cookies before they will make sale - affiliates will not loose commissions.
    I'm not sure if I can post link here, but if you will search in google keyword like "flash cookie tracking post affiliate pro", you should find all the advantages, which are known for this type of tracking method.

    BTW: if flash is not possible to use on specific computer, PAP fallback to other types of tracking (e.g. by first party browser cookies, third party browser cookies or even to IP tracking)

    Yes thanks, I will type that into google and read more about flash cookie tracking. so affiliates won't lose commission because they use a direct linking system is that what you mean?

    I have used idev affiliate and "many" of the big boys do to. Last I checked it was $97 I think.

    direct linking is another feature, which offers PAP (I'm not sure if idev has it), but it has nothing to do with flash cookie tracking.

    Direct links - increase visitor's trust in affiliate, because it is not clear on first look, that affiliate earns money from linking to merchant ... very nice side effect is, that for merchant it is the most efficient SEO

    Flash Cookie Tracking guarantee, that tracking of visitor on merchant's website is much more accurate and tracked are even visitors, which switched off browser cookies.


    I have to agree with orcasea, that in the past was idev better than pap, but it is not true anymore. Currently we have about 15 000 installations running affiliate program or affiliate network on Post Affiliate Pro. Just check change log of post affiliate pro and change log of idev - you will see why PAP grows so fast and you can't compare it with idev anymore
