Everyone always likes to talk about Dan Kennedy What is his core product that really outlines his selling systems / funnels / blueprints? (NOT copywriting). Any suggestions? |

An obvious overview answer for you, based on what you've mentioned you're looking for, would be his Renegade Millionaire series- He covers many different aspects of his business approach, philosophy, and mind-set- But for me, right at the top is most likely his Advanced Coaching and Consulting course- NOT the first two Coaching and Consulting courses, but the Advanced one- It does focus quite a bit on the consulting business, but the techniques he shares for instance on how to "capture" customers (read followers), get them compelled with your "character" where they will be constantly wondering what you'll be doing next, and paying good money to find out, is invaluable in almost any business you might pursue, in my opinion. If you've gone through Frank Kern's Mass Control stuff, he takes a lot of ideas from Dan on this and gives it his own spin- One other course I would really recommend, but which can be a little hard to find used these days, is Ron LeGrand's Speaker and Platform Selling Bootcamp- Ironically enough, I found this to be one of Dan's best courses- Dan gives SO MUCH away here, so much behind the scenes stuff, including his entire 90 minute famous stump speech that he gave at the Peter Lowe events for years- Not only do you get the entire transcript of the speech, but Dan also analyzes it for you in the course- I would highly recommend you get the course with the videos and audios, not just the audios- You need to see all of this in action, the selling from the platform, etc. BUT this course covers SO MUCH MORE than just selling form the platform- I consider it probably the best and most comprehensive marketing course out there, especially if you're interested in Dan Kennedy and his approach- Just a note, there isn't much of Dan's Wealth Attraction mind set in there, it's much more nuts and bolts- I must have watched it several times over the years, certain discs probably well over 10 or 15 times, I don't know- Hope this helps- |

Look for his old stuff, particularly if you can buy it used or on clearance. He is the "go-to" guy for the fundamentals of direct response marketing. Don't expect to get much in the way of tactics from him. But combine his fundamentals of positioning along with the tactical brilliance offered on this site, and you'll be cooking with hot oil.

If you really want to make money from Dan Kennedy, don't buy any of his books or over priced products, and go spend a few bucks on one book by Robert Ringer: "Looking Out For Number 1". That book will teach you everything you want to know and is no doubt the basis for all of Kennedy's products. I'm not saying there is no merit to Kennedy, but he has one basic product: making money with targeted mailing lists (which he sells, by the way). |

Also, his Time Management for entrepreneurs book is equally fantastic, and again, has nothing to do with making money with targeted mailing lists... Another GREAT one is his "brass balls" audios, which I got for free when I signed up to his newsletter - there is so much insight into being CONFIDENT in business. The advanced coaching and consulting bootcamp is GREAT as well.

Got many of Dan's books and courses. I agree with DeXX that Magnetic Marketing is a must have. Also his book on writing sales letters called the Ultimate Sales Letter is a gotta have.

Is that course with Ron Legrand/Dan Kennedy better/much different than his "mega success system system for speakers" or the "professional speaker business training" course that Bill Glazer and Harturian did for Dan? I ask as I have those 2. As for those that think Dan Kennedy is only about building lists, and nothing else, you must be right...so go away..nothing of value to see here...do not look at the man behind the curtain

I've read all of his books but haven't invested in his products or coaching. Thanks for asking this question, I think it's time to pay more attention to Dan.

I think for pure value his paperback books are excellent. If you take careful notes you can see where his more expanded courses come from. His books are his core material, so to speak. Its the courses/workshops/seminars that expand it all. His copywriting courses are great, btw. However, after 30 years of being a Kennedy customer, I think its fair to say Dan is a business strategist more than anything else...and the products that focus on that are his best, imo. I'll add I loved the Brass balls seminar. _____ Bruce |

The Glazer Kennedy Inner Circle is also an awesome ongoing resource. The stuff they send out each month blows my mind.

I was involved in local GKIC meetings, his monthly newsletter, attended a conference, etc. - the guy really is smart and a great strategist - great ideas. He clearly differentiates himself from the mainstream business - by the book advice - thus becoming clearly unique from your competition. I suggest you buy EVERY book in his NO B.S. series and devour the material. |

In all the years, and all the forums, and all the goofy things people say this has to be one of the most ignorant post I have ever read. I have read most of Robert Ringers books and been through most of Dan Kennedy's books and courses and I could write a novel on why this statement is ludicrous. When I am asked what to recommend of DK I always say start with ALL his books. It's the fastest most inexpensive way to get a good understanding of DK strategies and tactics. "Is that course with Ron Legrand/Dan Kennedy better/much different than his "mega success system system for speakers" or the "professional speaker business training" course that Bill Glazer and Harturian did for Dan?" I have been through each of the courses you mentioned and they all bring something different to the table and they are all worth the time investment if you are serious about becoming a speaker. But if I were forced at gun point to pick just one it would be the Ron Legrand/Dan Kennedy course. |
