For those of you who are on incansofts buyer/mailing list, you have porbably heard about they're new product Llama Spin. Has anyone bought this yet? Have a review or any thoughts on it? I've never bothered using a spinner, but with the discounted cost, and it being from incansoft, I'm giving it a thought. |

I received the discount email last night $14.95...if it's anything like their other programs it will diffently be a winner! I downloaded it but haven't had a chance to use it yet!

I bought it, the user dictionary is growing. When I tried it last night it replaced one word out of an article then this morning a lot more. I like the batch spin feature, just point it towards a directory of txt files and use your favorites or everybody elses. Still needs some polish but its pretty good. |

If you have the best spinner this won't replace it as it stands, unless you want to spin bulk articles. It might in the future its got some potential.

For me - It's good enough to pick up, see how it develops and potentially pay the one off fee rather than $77 a year for a TBS license...we'll see how it goes |

If anyone has any more information on this, that would be great. Anyone want to make a sample of what it can do thus far? |

I just purchased and took it for a spin (pardon the pun). I have used Magic Article Rewriter and viewed the video for The Best Article Spinner. Pros: - Cheap - Potential spin favorites from others - One time fee Cons: - Minimal documentation - Thesaurus has many hiccups. First, some common words like "benefits", "members" have no suggestions at all. Second, the words that are included contain dozens of completely unrelated words. There may be good variety, but takes a while to sort through them. - Very few favorites from others (which should grow) - Lacks easy navigation that TBS has. "Tab" to select the next phrase/word. - Could not figure out how to spin paragraphs. - Google keyword suggestion is pretty scant compared to what Google provides with their direct tool I could be missing something, but right now it is not something I plan to use. Big Mike, feel free to clue me in. |

One feature to take note is the users' built "dictionay" feature. This might have potential. As the software is quite new, will need time to observe how this dictionary can grow.

I love Incansoft, but... I couldn't get it to install, and so wrote this to Tech Support: ====================================== Trying to install LlamaSpin. After pasting the URL into IE, it VERY briefly starts to install (maybe 1/2 second), then goes to this message: "Application cannot be started. Contact application vendor." ======================================= 24 hours later, they answered: "HI Sorry for trouble please disable your firewall as it is blocking access to installer Thanks" ========================================= I disabled my Windows Firewall, plus my AVG "Resident Shield" and "Online Shield", and I'm still getting: "Application cannot be started. Contact application vendor." ========================================== I wrote them back, but at 24 hours per back-and-forth emails...gee. Anyway, any ideas? Thanks. |

If your word is at the beginning of the sentence it replaces it doesn't maintain capitalization. I am going to continue using magic article rewriter for the time being.

The more I mess around with this spinner...the more I like it. The "value" of making a one time payment of the pennies they are charging compared to some of the alternatives is more than a little attractive. |

While this is somewhat bothersome at the moment, I'm sure it will be fixed. For the price, it gets the job done for what I needed a spinner for.

I picked it up also but don't have time to play with it. I'm perfectly happy with Magic Article Rewriter but I'm also a sucker for a low-priced "pre-launch deal". I can always hand it over to an outsourcer to use. |

I picked it up at the last minute for the $14.99 launch price. I'm not one who believes that the price justifies the purchase - I'm lost too much time picking up tools because the price was so attractive, then spent hours that might not have been spent otherwise - however the feature set looked very good, and SOME of the other tools I have from Incansoft are very good (a few were serious disappointments however). I've begun playing around with it; the feature set is indeed very good, though some of the features are somewhat unpolished or unfinished. Hopefully the rough edges will get smoothed out in an update. If you're familiar with Jet Spinner syntax you know it can take quite a bit of work to 'set up' an article for spinning. Llama Spin has some nice features to help make the job a little quicker and less painless, but it still takes time to do it well. For me, one of the best features is the shared library of 'replacement' words & phrases, but as of yet there aren't many. Theoretically, as more people use the software, this library will grow, and in fairness it's only been a couple of days. However, where choices do come up, many of them are unusable. I assume this is primarily the fault of users not adding to the library correctly. All in all, I feel it has great promise. If Big Mike & Co. smooth out some of the rough edges, and the shared library grows, it could be an excellent spinner option. bfas |

Johnny, I've got to tell you, your review was laid out nice and the points you made were concise and dead on. That said, in terms of the comparisons between TBS and Llama, TBS wins hands down. If you are a IMer who makes decisions and comparatively analysis based solely on which is cheaper, there is a great chance that you are handicapping your business in terms of productivity and time lost. Then again, if you need a spinner but don't want to invest $77.00 or pay the subsequent annual fee, Llama may be the best thing for you. As it stands, the jury is still out... and for sure, as with any new launch, the bugs and kinks are still being ironed out of Llama. Giles, the Crew Chief |

I got it and do not like it for a few reasons. I wish they would let you spin full sentences, unless i am missing something there is no way to do that right now. I always spin by giving each sentence three full alternatives then spinning synonyms within those sentences so this is holding me back. I also wish they would have the ability to export different types of spin tags, again unless i am missing something you can only get {} and not [spin] [\spin] I still prefer magic article rewriter. |

My mistake, you can spin entire sentences. I just had to get used to the software. Now that i have been using it i really like it as much as magic article re writer.

| Just for the record, I've had issues with TBS recently - extremely slow, and outsourcing your help desk SUCKS for the consumer...bad idea if you don't have quick turnaround. Otherwise, MAR = MISS IT ... TBS = GOTTA HAVE IT LLAMMA = curious...I need a backup spinner. I'm freaking behind in my client work...looks like I might do LLama spin.. But for only $15 more or so I can have MAR...hmm...decisions... |

I've got it and I'm getting used to it. after I get more familiar with it i'll post a video of the interface and how it works etc. so far my initial impressions are that's it's decent for the price. i'm not ready to pass a verdict on it yet as the article I was spinning had too high of a keyword density. My first impressions are somewhat positive. although i like magic article rewriter better as it's faster. However one slick feature I like is that once you have an article set with the syntax, you can set llama spin to spin it into as many versions as you like and it'll save them to a directory you choose. With a few updates this could be a really slick piece of software. The lack of capitilization at the beginning of sentences is a pain in the ass. |

It does well. Better than the rest of their bots to tell you the truth. It's also drastically cheaper than the rest, and updated for life so that's a plus. It also has a database which is updated by its users (including me) to include all kinds of variances for everything ![]() The downside ----- As with any article spinner, if you want your article to truly make sense and not read like it was written by someone with English as their THIRD language...you have to touch up any article you spin. I like to call article spinners, "gibberish makers" if you just do the drag-drop-and click spin method. However this is what I do to get quality articles from the spinners. Llama spin will automatically generate a bunch of keyword variances in the form of jet spinner syntax. This is prior to actually spinning that it provides you with the variances. So if you actually go through the ENTIRE article and each of the jet spinner variances provided and weed out all the ones that wouldn't make sense, and THEN spin it a bunch of times it comes out really good. I recommend it. I have it, but don't submit anything with it lol. I'm a whitehat quality marketing kind of guy...so i dont spin a bunch of stuff and submit a bunch of stuff with a bunch of stuff...know what i mean? |

the synonym database has gotten better lately. now all i need to do is figure out how to spin faster and me and this tool can be best friends. right now it's taking me 20-35 minutes to spin a single article.

Highly recommended. I have Llama Spin and it is fast and easy to use. If you put the needed effort into your articles and spinning syntax you won't have a readability problem. For the price it cannot be beat.

SpinnerChief vs. Llamaspin? No contest, SpinnerChief by a mile. The problem as I see it is that the update cycle for the Incansoft products is far too long. But then again, if you've got a catalog of software and only 1 or 2 programmers, it is quite easy to get "snowed under."
