A wide variety of niches would be good. But one that specializes in IM niches would be best.

  I do LOVE anything from Melissa Ingold. My niche isn't IM or make $$ online but it is business oriented. I can often take this PLR and tweak it for my niche.

Why don't you put the money into getting someone to create a product for you? (via Elance, oDesk, etc)

You'll need to tweak the PLR products a LOT anyway, so there's work either way.

Yes, you'll probably end up with fewer products, but they will be exclusive to YOU and probably MUCH better quality.

This is an excellent suggestion.

What I commonly do is create my own original, larger products and then use the PLR for smaller related products to push the originals.

I do rewrite the PLR ruthlessly.

Basically, I use the PLR to augment my product creation. ;-)

Ultra Spinnable Articles by Vita Vee gets my vote. I can't imagine myself quitting from that membership. The articles are highly spun, so it's ok to use them even on your own blog, and of course, mass submit them to article directories and blog networks.

These are articles though, not ebooks or other complete products, but you can of course compile several articles into one big ebook.
