I know there are posts on this but I cant find them - I'm after opinions on Business directory scripts I can use for Aussie businesses - must have radius search & preferred listings- Ive looked at- Joomla Extensions Sigsiu - its free but the add ons mentioned above are pricey - and there is a lot to learn to run it otherwise phpMyDirectory - Web Portal, Business Directory, Classifieds, Link Indexing is looking a better option - with add ons its a bit cheaper and looks easier to use - Do you know of any others that have radius search (for aust.) & preferred listings Thanks in advance Danny |

Danny, Have you checked out esyndicat at esyndicat.com? I used it a while ago and it was very good although I'm not sure about your radius search query. Jonathan |

You may want to check out BizDirectory at idevspot.com. I use it for my cities Business Directory. It uses Google Maps and will search by zip code, region, county and also country.

hi ronnlisa, thanks for your input I had looked at BizDirectory 2.x :: Business Directory Software :: PHP & MySQL but had dismissed it as too basic but maybe a bit hasty there ![]() the beauty of a radius search script is it has all zip codes (postcodes in Aus) with lattitude and longitude built in so it will bring up all listing in order of proximity to zipcode searched - with a simple zipcode search if there are no exact matches you get "no matches found" at which point you think mmm useless site and move on.... the Joomla Sigsiu addon has stacks of countries covered where phpMyDirectory has Nth America UK and Aus Thanks again for input - if anyone has any others I'm sure someone will be interested - perhaps you could include favourite features - why you use it cheers Danny |

Hey, the best,in my opinion, is PHP Link Directory Script. This is due to the multiple functionality that it possesses. You can use articles as well as other services. The key here is that you should really use Wordpress and get some script to work with it via a Plugin. |

I just picked up DirectoryPress - Wordpress Directory Theme, but I haven't played with it enough to give you a recommendation. John |
