Hiya fellas... I've been using Thesis and Socrates for most of my sites nowadays. I'm currently looking for a new theme to use. Not because I dislike thesis or socrates... but I'm just interested in trying. I've been thinking of getting either one of these: -Flexsqueeze -Artisteer I mainly build my site as an authority site.. which one of these two would be your choice? I've downloaded Artisteer trial... and so far love them. But one of my concern is the SEO of the sites created with Artisteer. Also.. I'd like to see some example of sites built using Flexsqueeze if possible. This should help me make my decision. Also.. if you have any other suggestion, feel free to post it here and state why you like it. Ryan |

Both of the blogs in my signature are created with Artisteer and I have had no trouble at all with SEO. Artisteer is awesome! I don't know anything about Flexsqueeze.

You should get Artisteer. I don't think SEO has to do anything with theme work either.

Artisteer just creates the skin and it is the content you add and the keywords you target with that content thats effects your SEO. So either would be fine. I personally use Artisteer for my customers as I often have to rebuild their sites from html and Artisteer lets me do this easily. Quentin |

I love Artisteer, before I always used to use Dreamweaver but now use Artisteer for all my new blogs. Artisteer is one of the best investments I made this year. It's totally awesome. I've looked at Flexsqueeze and I think I may buy it too, but for me Artisteer is the business.

Artisteer rocks. I mainly use it for DotNetNuke skins, and so far I have only one complaint, but that would affect very few people here. When generating a .NET master page template for use in Visual Studio, Artisteer fubars the style sheet in non-IT browsers. It's a known support issue. But for the money, you simply cannot beat it, and there are absolutely NO issues with SEO whatsoever. Just define the style for your H1... H6 tags and put your own content and meta tags into the page code after you import the skin into your CMS environment. |

I use Artisteer and love it. I've been able to put together customer WP blogs for clients in no time at all. I've not seen any SEO issues with them. Rich |

I am another Artisteer fan. I have the home edition since I needed only WP and HTML options. I recently bought Templateer (a WP addon for Artisteer) to enhance Artisteer and I LOVE the combination. I now have the option of easily creating Magazine layouts. Definitely worth looking at the Artisteer + Templateer combo Tink |

Thanks everyone for your very informative input. From my research.. it seems that most SEO related issues with Artisteer are from comments way back in 2009. Something to do with the code being messy and H1 / H2 tags not being used correctly. Not really sure though. Today is August 2010 and I believe all those SEO related issues are not there anymore. I have made up my mind and decided to pick Artisteer. Thanks everyone. Quote:
Thanks Tink! Templateer... I'll definitely check it out as well. Thanks. Ryan | |

I've used Flexsqueeze on a few sites and it works fine for me. Perhaps it leans more to creating squeeze pages than full websites (hence the name), although I've used it for both.
