You don't exactly require a Ecover creator software. All you need is Photoshop to make one. There are a lot of action script floating around which you can use to easily create an ecover, all you gotta do is design the frontpage...

You can always use Open Source softwares such as Gimp if you can't buy Photoshop. It's pretty good too. |

You can make boxshots in Paint.net using the layer rotate/zoom tool. There's a "ball" control named roll/rotate that allows foreshortening of images, which is how box shots are made. Giveawayoftheday.com gives away box shot software fairly often too. |

You need two things for your cover: 1. The design files (usually in .jpeg, .gif, or .png) 2. A way to “render” the design to its 3D image (to look like an actual book) Many “make your own” eBook cover products are only rendering products or only design products. If I were going to invest it would be in a design + rendering tool. Personally, I think the best way to go is outsource it. There's a lot of good offers here on WF. |

Well, for me, instead of paying $12 every time, why not just spend 15 minutes creating a cover to save money. | |

I'd say that unless you already know the basics of graphics that you should use fiverr.com and get a graphic for $5 or use Warriors for hire for a little more as mentioned. Don't make the mistake of getting distracted for 2 weeks learning photoshop and losing track of your projects when you could outsource it easily and quickly and get your site up much quicker. I have made this mistake in the past! Plus once you have posted your first graphics request you have a template for the next one (and a system for your business). Good luck. Fraser |
