I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to IM, however a friend asked me about this program today and I've never heard of it. After doing some searching on Google, I have a rough idea of what this is, looks like something you may see on a late night infomercial. Anyone care to explain what this is and how to sign up?

I was a member for several months and didn't make a dime. There are 3 steps that one must take after signing up for Acme People Search. Step 1 gets you up and running with your Acme People Search engine. Step 2 is optional and allows you to move your Acme People Search engine to your own domain. Step 3 is also optional and probably is the only place you can hope to make any money. I never went to step 3 because it involved me having to sign up to Tissa's GDI downline. From this point on you basically get others to sign up to Acme People Search and thus to your GDI downline in order to make money.

My recommendation is to stay away, but it costs no more than the price of a domain name and hosting to complete step 2 so by all means check it out and see if it's for you.

I also tried Acme People Search and I did sign up to step 3. However I also failed to make any money with it so gave up in the end.

Having said that I am sure there are other people who have made it work and maybe you can, but I am afraid I wouldnt recommend it to my friends.

1)With the Search Engine, what is created automatically.
2)With the bussiness opportunity, earning money with few affiliate programs, promoting Acme People Search.

Other companies do that for 20$ subscription + upselling on some other stuff. Another way those companies are earning is because they charge like 2$ for every search that has been made. oo

Unlimited searches vs. 2$ a searches... i think the winner is clearly seen. Thats provides an elephant head advantage over the competition. What people will do pay or rather get it for free?
You might wonder how then the affiliate earn money? Well they earn with Trialpay, and some upsell from Clickbank products like Phone search, Run background checks from HD publishing, Find people on (Social networks, and match.com etc) from CJ.com.

By completing Step1, you get the generic page that more then 460000 affiliate have gotten, so it wouldnt be practical to promote it in Adwords. Its real power lies with in Step2, where you brand your people Search engine with its own domain name. Tissa G is a top earner in GDI simply because when you joined Acme People Search you have to get a domain name for your people search and you've no other option but to register it at GDI. And that's it...Tissa G gets his commission from GDI! For you to get the same you must exert tremendous efforts for your people search site to rank high in search engines.

I was a member for over a year--never made a dime and lost plenty with Adwords. There were too many restrictions on keywords and phrases. All I did was build Tissa's list. Stay away!

Acme people search is a great internet business. You can make great money with it but as is the case with any niche you have to get relevant traffic to you site and then have that traffic convert into sales or cpa commissions.

It does not matter what you are doing online if you do not know how to market, advertise or promote your product.

Anything that resembles a "pyramid" scheme is a no go for me. It could work, but it's definitely not for everybody.
