I used the Camtasia video making software to record my desktop for some videos but only used the free 30 day trial. Though it's great, I can't justify spending $300 on something I won't use much. Anyone know of some cheaper/free alternatives that I can use? Many thanks... |

Camtasia from techsmith.com if you have the budget. Jing if you don't.

Camtasia Studio is excellent for screen capture videos. For smaller files, SnagIt or Jing which are also from TechSmith are cool. ;-)

Someone in the War Room (lots of great info there) recommended this product: Free screen recorder - BB FlashBack Express This is not an affiliate link. Express version is free and it works with windows 7 though there is no Mac version. Hope this helps. |

Yes, I second Jing too. Very easy to use and work for most types of use. Probably not the best for salespresentations though :-) I tried Camstudio.org as well and it was good but I had some technical issues with it and got a copy of Camtasia instead! |
