What's up, Warriors! So I attended the GET MOTIVATED seminar that's been traveling around the country for a while now. Headliners included BRIAN TRACY, ZIG ZIGLAR and COLIN POWELL! Great stuff from all 3 of them. I'll be glad to post my notes in the comments here, if anyone's interested. But the surreal part of it all, was that the 2nd-to-the-last presenter was an Internet marketer! It was Stephen Pierce! He talked about his story (started a pharmaceutical business as a teen... LOL!), Gave his "why you should list.en to me" success resume, and then went into the 3 ways to make money online (Cost Per Action, Cost Per Lead, and Cost Per Sale) It was interesting to observe people's body language, at the Internet Marketing pitch. It was definitely over a lot of people's heads. Stephen spent a lot of time talking about his Automated Income Machines, a set-and-forget system for creating blogs that list products, with listings that automatically update. Sounded like auto-blogs... In any event, he's offering a $29 3-day seminar in town, which I plan to attend. Can anyone give opinions on Stephen Pierce, his products, and the whole topic of "OFFLINERS" being exposed to Internet marketing pitches? Thanks! |

abonje, there was one here in Raleigh this week but had to miss it - sounds like the one you attended was great. I'd be interested in seeing your notes and also learning more about the 3 day seminar. I have some of Stephen Pierce's early stuff and it was good - but haven't followed him in a few years. The leader of our local mastermind group - Teddy - has had some dealings with him and has good things to say - but that's second hand info. best, --Jack |

I appears he's going after newbies with no clue about IM and he's selling them on the "everything's automated" model. Not good.

Taking your comments at face value, one should believe: 1) Everyone labeled a "Guru" belongs in one big group of people you shouldn't trust. 2) Any product from a successful person for just $27 is junk. 3) Gurus only make money by ripping off new people. 4) If you make $500k a year or more, you shouldn't sell a $27 product. Should I bother to explain why this is wrong? | |

I bought into an expensive package from Stephen, but at the end of the day it failed because I didn't apply it. If you do buy anything from him, you should apply the lessons. If you buy anything from anyone that's what you should do. "Focus Trinity" My fave line from Matrix ![]() Brian |

I agree Andy - nothing is worse than attending a seminar and having content that is not well related to why I am there. On the other hand, I wonder if he has discovered a strong correlation between unhappiness, not being motivated and being on the wrong career path. In other words, if 75% + of the people in the room are unhappy or not motivated because they hate their job, then talking to them about online business models may be very relevant. I have chiropractic clients locally here that I have been helping take their coaching business out to wider audiences and indeed, there is a good portion of the people they get into their program with health, stress and emotional distress that seek other career avenues - that is certainly part of what many are struggling with. Hard to see if there would be enough of a correlation...but that could be the reason he popped up there. Jeff |

I had the pleasure of hearing Steven speak a couple of years ago at a convention in Las Vegas. He also told the story of his teenage "pharmaceutical business", which as I recall came to an end as a result of a bullet. He's an excellent motivational speaker and writer, and deserves the success he's achieved. One could classify him as a "guru" - unlike Brad I don't have a negative opinion of that word (although I find it to be overused, somewhat like the term "diva" in describing female musicians). I suspect that your 29 dollar 3-day event will be a sales pitch, Steven sells packages of training sessions that take place at his private house in Texas and they aren't cheap. At the event I was at he had no lack of enthusiastic customers. Even if it is a sales pitch I think you'll find it worth your time, if only for the lesson in marketing you'll receive from someone who has mastered the art. Bill |

There are a few lessons you can take away from what Steven is doing. #1. He's not targeting YOU. You already have a general idea about internet marketing. #2. He's going offline to get people online. #3. He's positioned himself as an expert by becoming apart of this seminar group. #4. He's using a great filtering technique by having people pay a little to get to the next step of his sales system. Action takers see where I'm coming from. Good Success! Vondre' |

I watched some Stephen Pierce's material but I prefer John Di Lemme and Pat Mesiti (an Aussie fella). They make you fell like jumping out of your seat. |

One of the first ebooks on IM I ever read was by Stephen Pierce and it was excellent. He has an incredible story to tell, imo, and anyone can benefit from his journey. To get to hear him talk about his business, even with a product pitch, for 29 bucks, would be well worth it. _____ Bruce |

Stephen's a great speaker and motivator. And he certainly knows his stuff when it comes to IM. Unfortunately, his monthly membership training (the basic one) doesn't deliver as well as he does in person. The problem, imho, is the format "live training". Sounds great and it is great when the person actually has the time to show up. But as one can imagine, when that person is constantly traveling, as well as engaging several other training programs, well that doesn't happen nearly enough. In the last, few weeks - one no show with no explanation, one very basic rehash delivered by assistants, one guest substitute and another coming up, well you get the idea. Consequently, I'll be canceling after this month. Too bad cause when he does deliver, the info can be quite good.

I went to a seminar once where there were two sessions by Stephen Pierce. Both sessions were just sales pitch and he gave absolutely no information at all on anything related to IM. In the end, quite a large number of people walked out. One session was bad enough already, but two was just awful. This was in sharp contrast to Mike Filsaime and Ewen Chia who defintely provided some great information in their sessions. |

In business, there's got to be sales pitches because that's what marketing and promotion is all about. It's a competitive world. Let's face it...IM is tough. Newbies are being burned every second for lack of experience and knowledge. IMHO, what Stephen is doing is the right thing. Focusing on showing new marketers how not to fail. I see nothing wrong with that. If he goes after newbies, that's because they are the ones that he needs the help. What's wrong with that really?I'll give him a try first before I make my own judgment. If he doesn't do what he claims or becomes overbearing in expenditure, then I'll certainly let others know about it.But for now, I will not let anyone discourage me.I hope newbies will take advantage of his $1 30-day trial promotion to get into his system. Stephen is a great guy and a fantastic marketer. I did some copywriting work for him a while back and he and his wife actually had me out to their home in Texas for a big-time IM guru barbeque and networking event. An eventful (and profitable) day, to be sure... What you see is what you get with Stephen. He's the real deal. |

I joined stephen's membership program when i first started im it gave me a pretty good foundation, his set it and forget it blogs are autoblogs with a method that he teaches i have built a couple using this method and it works pretty well ive gotten a few sales but nothing to retire off of. Stephen knows what he is talking about and if you have a chance to be in a workshop for three days with him do it.

I love Stephen Pierce. I worked for him for a while and he is definitely an experienced and successful internet marketer! And the man is just a machine! Sleeps four hours a night and meditates and prays for like 3 hours to start off every day. Anyways, his course is pretty good if you're new, but if you're a bit more experienced, it's not worth the cost, especially now that he took off the live training. That really disappointed me! It's based on autoblogging, mainly, but MRMI has a ton of other cool stuff too. I mainly loved talking to him about stuff. His head is so huge and stuffed with internet marketing knowledge. I would love to launch a product and have him help me recruit JV's and what not. Anyways, he's a great guy and his stuff is good, but I would just get the MRMI monthly membership at 47 dollars. That's the best value. The Autoblogging stuff doesn't impress me very much. Just stick with good old fashioned internet marketing if you ask me! |

I also had the pleasure to speak with Stephen Pierce at an Everyday Wealth seminar in Chicago. I also got a chance to pick his brains on some things I was doing wrong in my own business. Some of his products and training may be somewhat expensive, but if ou are a newbie you will be getting trained by one of the top guys in IM. I know people that bought into his products at that seminar and the methods that he teaches does work. So I ask you newbies would you rather have a education from Harvard or Devry. All in all the guy has good stuff.
