Lightbulb Niche Forum Finder Tool

Does anybody know a tool to find Niche Forums related to your keyword. To give you an idea I am looking for a tool that works similar to Blog Comment Demon. A tool that has lot of automation that shows you the PR of the Forum, Do Follow attributes and other stuff that will make your finding the Forums of your choice easier.

I'm almost thinking you can do that with firefox and some of the more popular seo addons that show pr, do follow etc. Just go to google and then choose more on the left hand side, choose discussions and then enter your keyword

Yeah, just install the SEO Quake toolbar for Firefox then...

go to Google. Type in a broad keyword related to your niche.

Then click on the "discussions link" on the left hand side of Google. That will list mostly forums, and you'll see the PR below each listing.

The discussions link is okay but it does tend to pull up too many yahoo answers, Google groups type of results and not enough of the good forums out there. Here is what I do, also using SEOQuake..

1. Look for a forum footprint.. What I mean is a section of text that appears in a certain forum script. e.g. for Vbulletin forums, unless the user changes it you will always see "Powered by vBulletin" at the bottom of the forum.

2. Go to Google search page and click on the "search settings" (top right of page).

3. Change the number of results from 10 to 100.

4. Activate SEOQuake.

5. Search Google for your keyword + [the footprint] e.g. Dog Training + "Powered by vBulletin"

6. When the top 100 results have been returned, at the top of the results you will see the SEOQuake sort parameters. Click on the the PR down arrow, to sort from highest PR to lowest for the top 100 results.

What you have now is a list in order of pagerank of the top 100 VBulletin forum links for your main keyword. Repeat the exercise for other keywords and footprints.
