Dap is great, really has all the features i need at the moment. they recently sent out a email informing us of new features they will be working on. one off fee, and 6 months free upgrades makes it very good value if you look at other packages available. |

Excellent script. Installed it and configured it. Was not happy at all with the tutorials. The last thing I like doing is submitting support tickets. It eats time like crazy. All the back and forth, back and forth stinks. The owner of the script is a programmer not a teacher and is why the tutorials are all over the map. (The owner said "Guilty as accused.") When I suggested that he re-work all the documentation to reduce support tickets which I am sure it's costing him a small fortune in time. Don't get me wrong, the owner and his wife are crazy helpful and give excellent support but it was a major time suck. Better documentation is much needed. Would I use it again? Sure. I know it inside and out... now. I've used almost every single membership script on the market and most of them have poor documentation so I'm not picking on DAP. I almost got DAPTutorials.com to give DAP'S Documentation a face-lift and make some money as an affiliate but decided to stick to what I'm doing, (very hard to do in IM.) Craig |

Alexio & Craig, Thank you for your kind (and frank) comments about DAP. We are always putting in tons of time constantly updating the documentation, as our software is also constantly improving, and as we continue to add new features. You may be familiar with this: In the software development world, it is called as "Agile Development". So, instead of doing one huge release with hundreds of features which could lead to massive bugs and unstable software (which many of our competitors are famous for doing), we do shorter, cyclical and periodical releases (between 4-8 weeks) which results in constant improvement of software, fewer bugs, a well-executed private & public beta, more stable software, etc. We are huge proponents of encouraging our users to dictate what is important to them, and plan all of our releases around the most requested features. If you see http://DigitalAccessPass.com/changelog.php , you'll see how we're constantly striving to improve DAP. Also remember that DAP has tons more features than your average membership "plugin". We have a built-in affiliate program, email autoresponders, email broadcasting, third-party SMTP servers, regular file protection (both inside & outside of WordPress), email scheduling, bulk adding users, segmented email broadcasts, and much more. So we do have more stuff to document, as well as modify, as those features change and improve over time. Not using that as an excuse at all. Just sayin' :-) So those are some of the main reasons our documentation always struggles to catch up with the software. But that said, just look at the sheer amount of documentation at: http://DigitalAccessPass.com/documentation/ And we could say that we have more documentation than most other solutions out there - even more than some of the famous competitors ;-) So do check out our documentation link above. We do make up for any missing pieces via our "FANATIC'nical Support" :-) Cheers! Ravi & Veena Co-Founders & Co-Developers (DAP) Quote:

I have 3 sites running on DAP so far and counting. It's easy to setup and integrates well ClickBank. Even for a one-time payment e-book that I'm selling on ClickBank I used DAP so it's not just for monthly subscription membership model.Support is 6 months vs. 1 year compared to the other main membership software programs but the support is awesome. They even jumped on Skype with me a couple times to help me up with a config issue I was having. They're always issuing new upgrades as well so that's a huge plus. The new one has this ClickBank INS thing so no more email and cron jobs for CB to communicate with my site. I love that. It has a built-in affiliate program and a bunch of other cool features so yea it's a great software, you can't go wrong with it! |
