Default Paybox.me

Hello,
Just wondering what do you guys think of paybox.me
It's another payment processing company but it seems a bit shady. They are offering $50f ro each new registrants and supposedly $20/day and $5 for each referral.

Problem? you can't withdraw the money until their official launch..

It seems very shady to me but it seems to be working in their favour because the word is spreading quickly with their marketing techniques but this must be a very very expensive marketing campaign.

How would they be able to afford this. One part of me says this is a completely a scam the other part is a bit curious...

lol, that's funny that you can't withdraw the money until they officially launch, but you CAN send money to them.

I'd rather choosing another company, there are a bunch out there

The offer sounds too good to be true. I couldn't even find any information about who they are or who's behind it. In my opinion, it's too risky.

I would only add this. Read very carefully their Terms of Service, before making any decision.

Just my thoughts,

Jeff.

I wouldn't touch this thing with a stick!

Why can't people just stick to normal shopping carts? I had a guy want to use LiqPay or something on one of my offers. He also made another suggestion too which let you transfer money to your mobile phone number.

The only problem is that you then have to hassle people to join up to their service to pay you, or you having to join up to pay them with some service.

PayPal may be a pain sometimes, but it gets the job done.

For the amount of time it takes to use pay box (5 mins a week) - why not try it. If it works out at the launch, you could have thousands of dollars or worst case scenarion - youve wasted 5 mins a week!

Some stuff you may want to consider...

* It's not REAL money, it's "Paybox Money" if you read carefully. That is the equivalent of me giving you "Solomon Money". Who wants to sign up to my list for $100 Solomon Bucks? Actually I'm feeling generous, I'll double it.

* Any type of company and contact info seems to be hidden

* Of course they have the right to remove your account and any balance you have any time they want for any reason.

* Would you feel comfortable recommending this to your customers knowing that they may end up spending hours and hours each day promoting this and then getting burned?

I'm not saying the site is good or bad because honestly I wouldn't know, but the warning signs are there.

Someone I know just posted a referral link on Facebook. Came here first to see if there was any info. So glad I did. I have a feeling there will be quite a number of upset individuals when this thing launches and they realize they haven't been earning real money. And it'll be their own fault - the TOS page is in plain English and is incredibly easy to read (I'll give them that much).

To many "we will", "we hope", "we plan" in their T&C's that doesn't really build trust.

Have you read their T&C's? This is the most important part in my opinion: All account balances are held in PayBox currency. PayBox maintains a currency that is autonomous and independent of all nations and governments. The PayBox currency is denominated in dollars and cents (similar to the currency of the United States and over 20 other countries). The PayBox currency is currently in a closed system, and cannot be exchanged or spent.

We are talking about virtual money here and I'm affraid it will always keep virtual.

I'm for sure not going to promote this as it might damage my reputation.

I understand your concern, but your bump will likely cause deletion of the thread or of your particular post as per the rules of this forum.

BTW, hiding the whois information is not illegal. I use dot me extensions. And I could poke holes in the rest of it too but I'm too tired tonight.

Sorry, had no idea you weren't allowed to comment on a thread that is just over a moth old, not like it's a year old.

And I did a lot of research into this, I couldn't possibly explain everything about the facts I pointed out without writing a mile long post.

Are you affiliated with this scam site, is that why you are knocking my post?

EDIT - BTW you should check your links before you preach, no where on that page does it say anything about bumping old threads.

I've done some research on PayBox.me and have come up with the following:
  • The money in your PayBox.me accounts is currently worthless as it is considered it's own currency. PayBox describes it's as "autonomous and independent of all nations and governments", which means that you can't spend it anywhere for the time being.
  • PayBox is affiliated with all the strongly recommended marketing products they offer. What this means is that PayBox is the only one actually making REAL money. THEY ARE MAKING THOUSANDS OFF OF YOU!
  • The site has ZERO CONTACT INFO and hides Whois info
  • This is an ungoverned, unregulated currency....how long do you honestly think this is going to last
  • The free PayBox money on a daily basis to earlybirds is merely a marketing ploy. It doesn't cost PayBox one red cent to give you $20 (in PayBox currency), but it creates a buzz among members which makes them tell more people about it.
  • People have started selling their PayBox dollars at rates of 1000 Paybox to 1 US dollar to as high as 3000 to 1.....doesn't sound like optimism to me!
  • Once your account is created there seems to be no way to delete it...you can't even submit a support ticket. Does this sound like a company that you want to be involved with???

Here's another little tidbit of info to shed some light on how ridiculous PayBox is. The ONLY company to every successfully legitimize their own currency is the Disney Corporation with their Disney Dollars. Disney Dollars actually have a value on currency exchange markets.

What do you think PayBox's chances are of accomplishing the same feat?? Slim!

All doubts that paybox is a scam can now be laid to rest - as has the paybox site itself - DOWN and OUT!!

Well, we all saw this coming didn't we?
