      Hi Gary

I have a few questions for you after watching your sales presentation video to which I was directed by one of your affiliates.

Isn't this another type (albeit good perhaps) "business in a box"?

If not, in what way is it different to the "business in a box" product sold for one product sites?

Won't all those who buy your product end up with identical membership sites on identical niches (3 or 5)?

How individual and/or unique can one make each of the membership sites purchased in the 3 sites or 5 sites package given that the content, too, is provided for one?

I'm genuinely interested in having this information which was not explained in your presentation.

      Thanks

      James

        Hello All,

There have been several threads asking about a Memberspring Review. As with any other IM product I tend to come here first prior to making a purchase and thanks to all of you I have made some good purchases and saved some money. With that being said here is my review of the Memberspring program. I beg forgiveness if this gets a little long winded.

First off my comments on the long video sales page. I personally watched the entire video. I did have to pause it a couple of times. But I did want to watch it in its entirety. It does a very good job of painting the picture and selling the product. I did learn a couple of things from a marketing standpoint from the video, after we are all marketers and most of us read sales letters to get ideas. The video does do a pretty good job of telling you what is included in the package.

The training/tutorial videos in the package are right on the money. The step by step process you need to follow is very well laid out for you. I took the time to watch all the videos and went back and installed my first membership site. The complete setup took about 30 minutes. After you complete one you could set up another one in considerably less time than that.

I purchased the initial program and did get the hosting package. I probably wont stay with the hosting, but I haven't decided that one way or another yet. I did not take advantage of the upsell that was for an additional 2 membership sites per month. I will cover the reasons for that shortly.

I have used/own several membership scripts and have a couple of small membership sites and this is a very well laid out membership site with all the work done for you.

The squeeze pages are better than average quality and so is the sales page for the membership site itself. PSDs are available so you can edit the graphics to make your site more unique.

While there is 3 months worth of content and the quality of what is there is good and well written I am not sure the membership site as it stands is going to keep members three months. The site that I set up was one of the IM sites that are included in the package and I would not pay $19.95/month to stay a member. However with that being said it is very easy to add additional content and layer in content that you may not necessarily want drip fed into the system, but have available to all members. I don't want to go into to much detail here but I feel with a few more hours worth of work it would be a membership site that I would be proud to own. I think it is going to take about a month (20 hours) to add the content I feel is needed to achieve the results that I want long term. This is the reason I did not take the upsell.

Another negative is that I cannot set multiple membership levels or offer a discount coupon if I wanted to do a WSO or something along those lines. I could be wrong here, but I haven't found a way to do it within the script. Another thing that I would want to see is a built in affiliate program. I know I can get these things done but for a COMPLETE membership system I would love to see it right out of the box.

Is it worth the money? I feel that it is. If you are looking for a starting point for a membership site business model, this program is for you. If you are looking for a list building tool with a backend product, this is for you. The value is there, the speed of which you can get started is excellent. But if you are looking for a set it and forget it system you will be disappointed.

For those of you on the fence I hope the information I gave you above helps you with your decision.

        Paul

Are you saying Gary on the video you will have up to 6months content and that is it. We have any other update product after the first 5. And I also want to promote it and how to do it and getting the affiliate link also.
      Keep up the good work.

I've just purchased MemberSpring a day and a half ago, I've done a complete review at my personal blog.

    Here's the short of it.

I really was quite skeptical of what I would really get. But I really liked the idea of a sites fully made for me. I've done things with Gary Ambrose through Keith Wellman, and he seemed like a real up-and-up guy, so I took the leap of faith (he has a money back guarantee as well).

I was instantly very happy. He delivered everything he said and it was very easy to install. I've installed one of the 5 sites. The video instructions are crystal clear.

Using the videos, I was able to have my first site up and operating, fully customized in just about an hour. The second site will take less than 30 minutes, I'm sure, because I really won't need the video training.

The content in the sites is very good. This isn't to say you shouldn't add more content. I have already created additional video training for my first site, and will add it to the content to add value and easily sell the memberships at a higher price and still be over delivering by a long shot.

You will, of course, have to market your site, and bring visitors. He did not promise you this. However, Gary included some really excellent training in the MemberSpring customer hub.

I chose to use Gray's hosting because this made everything very simple. If you choose to use your own hosting (which you can), the set up will take you longer.

However, I didn't see any reason why it would cause any problems on a standard cPanel host. So it's a matter of just how easy you want it to be. Using Gary's hosting is really pushbutton easy. My domain, and website was up and live in literally seconds.

Bottom line is, Gary Ambrose really and fully delivers everything he says in the very lengthy MemberSpring sales video. The 5 sites are worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

If you want to run niche membership sites, and are ready to market them, you will be very happy with MemberSpring.

If you still don't want to ever do any work at all, then don't get it. Gary didn't promise you to sit back and do nothing, he said you can run this whole business from home... and he's absolutely correct.

    Stay well

It would definitely help to know (or be able to choose) what niches the sites would be in.

Also, I wonder if other people are receiving the same site (design and content) and if so how many?

I can see the advantages of ready made sites but it would be helpful to know more information.

Kevin, it came with IM, Health, dog training, local marketing, blogging. Just like Gary states, 5 of the hottest money making niches. If you take the upsell, you get new ones monthly.

Yes, I believe people receive the same sites. Don't know the numbers.

However, as I said in my review, I add content, and modify pages to make my site unique. I will also modify the graphics. So, for me, the fact that others have it, doesn't really matter to me. My sites will have even more content than most will ever take the time to create.

        Hope that helps

          Wayne,

Checked out your review and site. This looks like a good deal as long as you add your own unique content.

I have a few more questions if you don't mind:

          1. Do you know what membership plug-in is being used and if it allows dripped content?

          2. What payment processors and shopping carts does the site integrate with?

          3. Can you give a rough percentage breakdown of the content (video, audio, articles, reports).

          Thanks

Hi Kevin, sorry for the delay,

            1. Yes, it allows drip content, and the content you add can be dripped as well. Gary has his own plugin called, can you imagine, Memberspring. It's a theme and content manager.

            2. It works with Paypal. So far, I haven't seen a way to use other payment processors. But I haven't inquired with Gary about that.

            3. The one site I set up is all written content. I'm adding videos and audios myself. I'm using Easy Video Player 2 for this. It comes with a WP plugin that works fine in the memberspring set up.

The great thing is you don't have to have all your additional content ready to go in order to get started. Just have it well planned out so you can deliver in a timely fashion.

I've elected to set my first site up as a micro continuity site (Russell Brunson style). The built in Paypal interface allows you to set any price you want, and any terms you want. You can even do a fixed price up front if that's what you desire, though I don't see the point of that for these sites.

Alright, long enough. Have a great weekend

So sorry guys, but I just get this feeling of getting duped a little, Gary's stuff maybe ok, actually I do not know for sure, but just the fact that he charges 30 bucks a month thereafter(yes, I can cancel, but what exactly will I lose) is lot of money for hosting. It appears you do not get anything else other than hosting for that money.(not counting general support services) So really, I think Memberspring is all about recurring payments-to Memberspring. Nothing wrong with that per se, but again, you spend another 300 dollars for something that is not going push your behind up and take action. I am thinking that by taking action, I can do just as much on my own. But, that's just me.

There's no requirement to host on Gary's servers. As I understand it, you can transfer the sites to a hosting provider of your choice.

This is correct. In fact, you don't even have to set it up on Gary's hosting if you don't want. Just elect to use your own hosting right from the beginning.

The video instructions provided to do this are very clear, so you shouldn't have any major difficulties as long as you use a "normal" cpanel interface.

You can even transfer your site from Gary's hosting to anywhere you like if you decide afterwards to do this.

Hmm, I'm not at my computer with the receipts, so I actually forget the cost of the monthly new websites. However, you are not charged for this for 30 days, so you can take the upsell, and decide afterward you don't want it.

There's no "trickery" involved to cancel. It's very easy to do in the customer hub.

Sorry I don't have the price with me.

    Hi Wayne,

Thanks for your input and help with this review. I'm curious is the local marketing membership site is directed towards the individual marketer trying to get local businesses as clients, or if it is a membership for local businesses showing them how to do some of this on their own? I appreciate your help.

Hi all, thanks for the honest reviews of the product. I am seriously thinking about purchasing it, but have no experience in marketing the sites to get customers. That is my biggest concern, i.e., I set up the site and then what do I do to get members? As a newbie, what suggestions are there to do that, or should I post this question in a different forum?

I have been a member for 6 months now. I purchased the upgrade for the 2 extra niches each month which is $97 per month.

I will try to answer all the questions I have seen so far. Here are the niches. You get these 5 with the initial purchase.

      local marketing
      blogging
      affiliate marketing
      dog training
      weight loss for women

The first extra group is Home Brewing and Organic Gardening
The second group is Riches With Rentals and 9 Minute Meditaion
The third group is Dynamic Productivity and List Building
The fourth group is Ideal Fitness System and Profitable Writing System
      The fifth group is......

Here is where I have run into a problem. I was supposed to get the next set in December. I never received them. I put in several support tickets and was told they would be out soon.

January arrived and still no new sites. It was getting close to the time where I was going to get billed again for the next months sites, so I put in yet another support ticket stating that I wanted to cancel my subscription for the monthly sites and wanted a refund for the sites I did not receive in December.

That ticket has yet to be answered after 4 days and I have been charged an additional $97. WTF???

Up until this point, the support had not been great but it wasn't bad either. Normally, tickets were answered within a day or two.

The content in the sites was pretty good. The whole "drip feed" concept does not work very well unless their is a lot of initial content when a member joins.

Each site came with about 30 articles. 3 or 4 of which would be viewable immediately upon joining. The rest of the articles dripped in at a rate of 1 every 3 days or so.

I set up the Local marketing site first and drove about 2000 clicks to it. I had quite a few people take the $2.95 14 day trial. I also got bombarded with emails of pissed off people asking where the content was.

About half wanted a refund on their $2.95 and I got some really nasty emails. LOL

I went in and made about half of the content viewable immediately and also added some PLR video products that I had on local marketing, SEO, and outsourcing. I set the rest of the content so that it dripped in at a rate of every 2 days.

Since then, I have had a much better stick rate. This brings up another issue with the memberspring plugin that the support team has never fixed.

Your admin panel shows all the people that have joined. You can sort by all, active, or canceled. The problem is that it only shows the first 50 people alphabetically by email address.

There should be additional pages with the rest of the members but they are not there. This renders this "sorting" feature as being absolutely useless. You can't look and see who your active members are.

Also, the only way to set up an affiliate program is to pay a programmer to customize the script for you. I had many members approach me wanting to promote the site.

Overall, I think the content is pretty good. I think the memberspring plugin is fair at best and could use some sprucing up. The support had been decent at first but this outstanding issue with the billing has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Not what I expected from Gary.

Someone made the comment above that this just looks like a way to get $30 a month hosting customers. Looks like that may be the case. I went with the hosting because it had an interface that loads all the content and automatically sets up the site.

This I did find very handy and saved a lot of time, but the negatives have me setting up blogs with Wishlist and moving the content over to them.

I thought the same thing when doing a "drip" type membership site. There needs to be enough content when your customer first joins for them to justify the price (knowing you'll add more later).

Would you mind sharing how many articles/videos/reports you have available as well as how often you drip content?

I make the first 10 posts viewable immediately and then drip in the other 20 posts at a rate of 1 every 3 days. I also added 4 video products to the top navigation bar that makes a total of 39 videos that can be watched as soon as they sign up.

I am just now starting to get material ready to add more blog posts and add some more videos that deal with mobile marketing and Google places.

LOL... you ignore the positive posts, and focus on one negative post... classic.

You didn't happen to notice Abby's post I'm guessing, and the others who said that they're getting responses from me personally?

As I've said time, and time again... I'm personally in the support desk daily, and so is the guy who programmed MemberSpring (he also lives about 1/4 mile from me). We answer ALL support inquires in 24 hours or less...

Well, that's not true... of over 10,000 tickets we've answered to date, there were 23 that were answered beyond the 24 hour we shoot for based on our support ticket tracking system. I guess we're not perfect...

          And

As for our recurring billing, each client can cancel their own recurring billing, by clicking a single button, without having to contact us what-so-ever... this is clear as day in the initial welcome email, and in the members area. The button actually says "cancel my membership", and if you click it, the billing is cancelled...

We couldn't have made it any easier.

In terms of the system... my video made it clear that you can use the sites "As is", or add content to them to make them personal, and improve them over time. That's still the idea, and as you can see from the responses in this thread, the people who actually did a little work, and added more content to the sites... well, they're seeing positive results.

Imagine that, doing a little work nets a positive outcome...

Look, I've been in this field for over 13 years, under my own name, and you'll be hard pressed to find many people who have a negative opinion of the stuff I've sold... and that's after having served over 500,000 clients over the years. ( that number includes both paid, and free members, but not people on my lists.... those aren't necessarily clients )

I'm not going to please everyone, but based on your picking out the one reply that essentially said... it was going well for a while, then I didn't get the answer I wanted... and using that as an "I knew it was too good to be true" type excuse... I'm going to guess you're not the type to in the work anyway.

You were looking for your out, before you'd even started...

Hey Gary I wanted to ask some questions after I started receiving emails from you guys having opted in for them but does not seem to allow that. I may be violting the rules again but dont know how else to ask you anything about MemberSpring. The main question is that there seem to be people for it and against it but of those for it, how many are making money from the system as it is offered without added personal content at this point in time or of the people tht have had it for the longest time, how many of those are making money from memberspring?

I agree, the AR series was pretty weak. Also, it talked about things that were not in the content if someone joined. I created new ones.

Last night I subscribed to one of them. I am not sure if it was yours. It only showed some articles.

Yes to both. There is a feature where you set how many days before the content will be available. (from the sign up date) I have added several video series to one of my sites and I put them in a nav menu across the top of the page.

What you have is a Word Press blog. You can add content as you normally would. Posts and pages can be set to "drip" feed in.

I highly recommend you permit a significant amount of material to be available when your members first join. I used the system "as is" when I first set it up and had multiple complaints and refunds with almost no one remaining to pay for the monthly.

Once I added more content and let the first 10 articles be immediately available, the complaints went away and my stick rate improved drastically.

Alright, I'm going to chime in here and say that our support staff is made up of me, the owner, and Dan, the lead developer of the system... he also happens to live about a half a mile from me.

You're free to request a refund if you'd like, but don't claim that support hasn't been very helpful. We answer all tickets within 24 hours, and we don't outsource support to anyone else... you're hearing from me, and the guy who wrote the scripting itself.

I don't see a name in your post so I can't lookup your tickets, but if you're having problems with installation on a dedicated server, we're either going to be able to help by telling you what you're doing wrong, or we're going to be able to tell you how the dedicated server needs to be configured to allow basic WP plugs to be added...

          Hi,

I purchased this just before Christmas sometime and set up one of the niches, I wrote a few articles to promote and then basically forgot about it and started promoting 'other' stuff. The thing is the customers I received from this have now covered what I paid for the program. So I'm pleased, very pleased.

OK the content needs some work to keep it fresh, but we expect that. For someone who want's to build their first membership site this is ideal.

I host the platform myself and configured everything in one evening. I am now in the process of setting up a second site that fits in perfectly with what I am promoting.

For the price I paid for this I have no complaints at all and am very glad I bought. OK there are always a few bugs but these can always be overcome.

          All the best,

Hi there - I just purchased this yesterday when I got an email from Anthony Morrison stating it would include a free website (which I didn't get yet so not sure what that's about).

Have you already purchased the product and your wondering how to get traffic? Or do you want general info.

So far it was fairly easy to setup a website. They have all the work done for you and I probably got it up and running in 30 mins. The drip feed system discussed in the video is essentially pre-scheduled WordPress blog posts. I can't tell how the system works yet when a client signs up. Not sure if the client gets the email sent to them or if it is just a blog post that gets posted to the site and then the client actually needs to go to the site to see it.

If you already have the product and are trying to figure out how to get traffic there is one training traffic tutorial (with a promise in the next few days for more) that discusses EzineArticles.

I wholeheartedly agree that the first step to getting traffic is article marketing. If you are looking for other ways to get traffic there are many from building Squidoo lenses, to creating a Facebook/Twitter/G+ accts. for your site , creating your own indexing site on Posterous.com, to name just a few.

      I hope that helps.

I don't know why they replaced those websites with "coming soon" pages.
Gary is a pretty respected marketer. Maybe he's concerned the salesletter and graphics would be copied?

Here are some screenshots that the Google Cache is still serving as of today. These screenshots don't reveal the copy and can still serve as a pretty good barometer for potential buyers.

          Exactly right...

Part of the purchase involves my selection of niches that work specifically for this particular model... add in the fact that those were testing domains we used in the process of finding, and fixing bugs before we rolled out updates, and those sites weren't particularly secure.

Long Sales Page style Opt-In's, poor content, websites that all look the same, with only css and graphic differences, unprotected wordpress back end files, including plugins and css sheets, in fairness, I'm not sure if the actual content is unprotected as they don't use the standard wp file structure, but overall for $97 base price and a ridiculously overpriced hosting and additional website subscriptions, I'd never pay for the additional websites, hosting or fresh content from them and quite frankly, I'm going to have a refund. I can't say the sites don't work, but my personal opinion is, I've got to make just as many changes, fixes and content creation as I would if I created a Membership from scratch, the only part I wouldn't have is the Sales Copy, but seeing as it's the same as every other customer's anyway, I'm not exactly missing out there. So, I'm going to get a refund, but like I say, I genuinely don't like the look of them, I don't think a full page Sales Copy style Opt-In will convert very well and I'd much rather had another hudred dollars and buy aMember insted, and have change left over.

I purchased memberspring as well. I went for the up-sell, and am looking foward to seeing what gary comes up with. I went for the hosted option, but i am probably going to move it to my hosting. Ive sent in a number of support tickets which were all responded to very quickly. I was highly impressed with the level of support.

If you are looking for a membership script, memberspring is very well put together and does exactly what Gary claimed it would do And its wordpress who could ask for more.

Gary would love to see some training about how to build a memberspring site using youur content including graphics. Like loading headers and foooters and backgrounds and such

    Just my two cents

I can't give a full review of Memberspring because I only installed one site and then didn't follow up with driving traffic after I installed a sub domain there that attracted a lot of traffic, but which didn't work properly and foxed my inadequate knowledge level.

This was over a year ago now, in early 2011, and I hasten to add that the problem was caused by me and not by the Memberspring install.

From memory, I bought the basic + one upsell, but used my own hosting.

Then I continued to get the packages for a few months at $97 a time and ended up with the following:

          1. Affiliate Marketing
          2. Dog Training
          3. Local Marketing Site
          4. Blog Profit
          5. Healthy Weight Loss
          6. Home Brewing
          7. Organic Gardening
          8. Riches With Rentals
          9. 9 Minute Meditation
          10. Dynamic Productivity
          11. List Building Academy
          12. Ideal Fitness
          13. Profitable Writing
          14. Better Golf
          15. Penny Stocks

I finally decided I was not using what I'd bought and stopped - cancelling was a simple matter.

During my installation (comments again from memory) I had a few problems that totally stumped me at the time. Support was prompt and very helpful - my main issue turned out to be that my Host Setting only allowed a small Media upload of a few Mb, whereas the Dog Training Package that I chose to set up first required uploading a much larger package (I think it was over 10Mb).
Support led me through the changes I needed to make, along with advice from my excellent D9 Hosts, and I now understand that scenario, so that I learned quite a bit from it and subsequent packages would have been much simpler.

It's true that each the package needs some work doing on it, but from what I read of the content mine is pretty sound Dog Training Material. One of my sons is very strong in this field and I had hoped that he would help me with more content, but his job has been hectic over the past year so that didn't happen.

I set up a test membership for myself and my son, which seemed to work ok, but I did feel that it would be overpriced for prospective members - and partly because of that, and the other site tech problems I had, I lost interest in the project and have not implemented the other packages.

I strongly dislike the long sales video. I part watched it several times and gave up in disgust, but eventually jsut let it run unwatched whilst checking emails and then went back to it whaen I knew what was on offer.

I have since been referred to the same video many times, so Gary's initial work has kept on doing the job for him - despite being as annoying as Hell!!

However, once I needed to talk to him I actually found Gary very helpful, and I'm sure I could have got even more help if I'd asked for it.

I'd say that I am at fault for not using my other packages (I did invest quite a tidy sum in buying them) but in order to put them into effect now I believe I would need:

          1. To go through all the content (though probably cover the first month's worth and then have a rolling program to keep ahead of publishing)

          2. To go through all the emails, correct and personalise them (my son was critical of them - he's not a marketer).

          3. Plan additional content to introduce more Images, Videos, and add monetising via links to some of my other sites which would be offer niche-related Amazon products.

I am about to move house and have retired, so give me a month or two to get organised and maybe I'll be following my own recommendations with regards to my next package and a revamp of the Dog Training - my Pension isn't going to support me so I think you can count on it!!!!!

Stand by Gary, I'll be back for help.....................

Hi, I purchased Memberspring in the night. I liked the long sales video. Gary's voice and style are very positive and professional. It is a very good sales letter.
I just got a good Cloud hosting, and I think, I will use my own host for these membership sites too.
There were two upsells, I jumped to the first, and I would jump to the second - personal coaching from Gary, wow - but unfortunately I was unable to choose this option right now. Hm, that's life.
    Maybe later, if possible ever...
I didn't have seen the content yet, Gary told about 5-6 months content, I will see, if I must make some more content to get it sufficient or not.
To give it a personal touch, it will probably need some extra work on behalf of me. Can be the same for sales letter, autoresponder series... I am not an experienced product creator in English yet, but definitely I must become one. Or... From the created income I will outsource.
I will update on this thread later, as I installed the sites. I hope, it will display the subscribed member well, and everything will be smooth and fine. It is amazing, that Gary and his partner are making the whole support. It is a personal touch too.
I hope the best. Happy Easter to everyone!

    A quick update.
I logged in into my Memberspring account, and looked through the training, downloaded the files. everything is very well laid out, organized.
There are many, many very useful information on how to be successful as a membership site owner, product creator, list builder, traffic generator, business strategist.
I think, even the training alone is worth of investment.

I'm not sure how that's relevant to whether the product is any good or not...

Hell, I've got a bowflex sitting in my garage, being used mostly as a hanger for my collection of life jackets... does that mean the bowflex doesn't work?

      Absolutely not!

It means that I'm not using the bowflex.

The same applies to just about every business type product out there.

First page rankings on google don't guarantee sales. Having a big list doesn't mean you're going to make any money, and having a million fans on FB doesn't mean you'll ever see a dime...

The key to making money is what YOU do with the system, and how far you take it.

I can tell you that we do have clients who are generating sales, but beyond that, I can't tell you how many, what they did to get them, or anything else... not only would that be a violation of their privacy, it could also land me in hot water with any number of the various 3 letter agencies out there.

I think there have been more than enough reviews here on this thread to give you an idea what the system is all about... if that's not enough for you to make a decision... maybe you need to keep looking for the non-existent magic money button.

          Here's the thing...

I'm not trying to make friends here... I'm being realistic.

When someone asks "Anyone making sales", or "What's the refund policy", or "How fast will I make money", or anything else along those lines... it's a red flag to me, as the product owner.

Refunds cost me time, effort, and money in dealing with customers who probably weren't that serious in the first place... or, customers with unrealistic expectations about what ANY product can do for them in this space.

I've been at this for over 15 years, with tens of thousands of clients over that time... this isn't me making a guess, it's based on cold hard data, and I know plenty of other successful marketers who feel the same.

It's a business decision... and one I'm not shy about.

If you're the type to ask questions like those, I'd rather you not purchase from me... it's a two way street. I need to be as comfortable with you as a client, as you are with me as a product creator.

Does that lose me some sales? Absolutely... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sometimes you're better off losing a customer, and keeping your sanity...

Sounds like a really good product but its worthless if you drive traffic to the sites and the sales copy doesn't convert. And isn't the sales/squeeze page and e-mail copy part of the package you're selling?

    Gary,

Quick question, I did buy MS not long ago, I haven't
had time to get into it yet, but I was wondering If
Is there anyway to not get slammed with multiple
emails from you every day selling soup to nuts?

I know I can unsubscribe, but there is a fear
that you may actually send out an update regarding
    MS that would be missed.

    Thanks

I found that they don't always let you know when there's an update or new video. Seems it's not automatic. You have to log in and explore all the areas you have already seen one by one to see if there is anything new.

        Thanks Scott,

After I saw this thread in the forum I
found the info to download the MS stuff
and discovered it is a membership site.

So, I'm going to unsubscribe from Gary's list,
way to many emails, just selling, no value add.

By the way don't missunderstand, I like Gary,
he's done and is doing some good stuff. I've
purchased from him before and I'm sure I will in
        the future.

      Hey Blase,

Funny, he's usually active on this thread but it seems he's ignored this question, which I have wanted to ask also. He hammers my inbox with nothing but promos several times a day. If I reply to those messages, he never answers back. Like you, I don't want to unsubscribe for fear I might miss an important update or something.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that he sold or shared my phone number with some sort of list of boilerplate "make money online" companies.

        Two things...

        1. I'm not on this forum daily... I do have other things going on in my life, and the Warrior Forum isn't at the top of my "to do" list. My family comes first, then business, and a much longer way down the line, if I have the time, I may pop in here to see what's going on.

I think I've said all there is to say about the product already, and the other reviews seem to be pretty clear.

As for marketing to people on my list, yeah, I do that... why wouldn't I? I'm am online marketer, and I've made no secret that the best lists in the world are buyers lists. I've published that fact in every course I've ever sold on email marketing, and I've said it from stage at every event I've ever spoken at.

But as you mentioned, if you don't want those emails, just remove yourself...

I can't answer if you'll get updates on Memberspring after that because, that's up to you. The remove page for that provider gives you the option to remove from one list, or all. I can't make that choice for you.

        2. As for the "boilerplate" coaching, I think you meant something else... but regardless, I didn't sell my client lists to anyone. I partnered with someone I've known for 7+ years, someone I personally know, and someone who designed their curriculum around what I personally teach (which isn't what most people teach).

I made it clear what I expected, and only found one place I thought would fit the bill... and, that's who I've used in the past.

It's called a back-end product, and again, I'm a marketer... do you expect me to not try to sell you something else? That's what everyone in this space does, and if they're not, they should be.

All the questions here seem to be about me trying to make more money... which I find very strange. Of course I'm trying to make more money, but that has nothing to do with MemberSpring itself.

It's your job to determine which other products you might want, which other services you might want, and what level of help you might want from others... or at what times you might want them. I can't make those decisions for you, you have to make them yourself.

Everyone seems to be under the impression that I, or any other marketer, expects every email to turn into a sale... or that I expect you to purchase everything I've recommended. That's not the case, I'm just showing you a few options.

If you don't want anything else, that's fine. And if you want everything else, that's fine too.

But don't be naive enough to think that you're not going to have other marketers trying to sell you on other things after your initial purchase. That's insanity.

        -Gary

P.S. No, I don't reply back to promotional emails. I send hundreds of thousands of emails per day. If you need to get in touch with me, that's what the support desks are for.

          Gary,
Of course I expect you to market to me, but you do it far more than most. Sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. But unlike the majority of lists I'm on, you never send out any pure content or tips to help out people who are less experienced, just promos for other peoples products. I don't unsubscribe because I don't want to miss anything important about Memberspring. I just multiple select all your messages and delete them.

I've known about you for some time and you had a pretty good reputation as far as I could tell, that's why I bought Memberspring without reservation.

As for your association of 7 years with the so-called "coaching" provider, you may not know them as well as you think you do, because if you didn't sell my phone number then they did.

          Here's what happened:
A few days after I bought Memberspring, I got a phone call from somebody who used your name and he talked about "coaching", "help getting going" online etc. He was never really specific and I of course assumed it had to do with Memberspring. He called a second time to ask me some more questions and said that he wanted to call back again and have me talk to someone else. Turns out this guy was a screener. So he called back and he put me on the line with this other guy that had a real salesy tone and started probing me about "taking action", "am I happy with where I am financially", then do I have any money(credit cards) to invest in my future. Then it came out. It had nothing to do with "coaching". It was a super hard sell on a drop shipping "business opportunity" to the tune of around ten grand. I said it sounded great, but that I wasn't interested in a drop shipping business. He then became rude and nasty and hung up on me.

Anyway, within a few days of that last call, I got a call from someone saying I was on their list as someone who would like to make some money from home. I asked where he got the list, but he was just a cold calling phone monkey and didn't know. Then I started getting two to three calls a week like this, which went on for several months. Then it slowed down to about one call a month. I think the last one was in January.

I know all these calls are a result of having bought Memberspring, because my phone number was less than a year old and I had never had such calls before.

I know you are a responsible marketer and I have a hard time believing you would sell my phone number in this way. But you might want to review the business practices of your associates, because they can make you look really bad by selling numbers to others that were only intended for their use.

Ha, let me guess - the infamous Utah based coaching companies. Gotta love them. Came close to being seriously burned myself, and that thanks to some BIG names in the IM game.

I am a newbie and was looking for a review of this product, nothing has been added in a long time, was sent to their sales page by an affiliate. After watching sales video and no new reviews I am guessing it's not a good deal.

Maybe I missed the point of the product which I thought was set it up and forget it which by these posts imply much extra work is needed.

Everything requires work Darryl, if you're looking for free money, try the lottery...

It's setup the membership sites, and the content on those is done for you as the video explains. Of course you'll need traffic, like EVERY SINGLE ONLINE BUSINESS EVER! You can't just sit around and expect your bank account to get fat... that's not how it works.

P.S. The lack of recent reviews means nothing other than the fact that the product isn't always on the market...

    Hi All,
After couple of years since 2010, where is the proven membership site? I thought of purchasing this MS after receiving an email, but upon reading this site, all the sites listed here are nonworking sites? I just want to see one that's proven working before deciding. Kind of deciding here but need some reference site before purchasing..

Like anything, there's no free lunch. The system is nicely put together, but it really needs some work to make it ready for customers.

Firstly saying 'I'm not trying to make friends here...' tells me alot about any
    marketer.

One of the first rules of any sales person/marketer (online or offline) is:
'Make the customer (or prospect) your friend' and the reason for this is the age old
    phrase 'People Buy From People'

This is all basic sales and marketing, people simply don't buy from people they
don't like or don't get on with (or even feel they won't get on with), even if
they don't like the sound of the sales copy they generally won't buy.

Making the customer your friend or making the customer 'feel like you can be a friend'
is the first barrier, the potential buyer needs trust, he/she needs to feel secure in the
fact that you're telling the truth....

If ever I hear or read anything along the lines of 'I'm not trying to make friends here...'
my warning lights go on lol....maybe because I like to think i know a little about the sales
    process and how it works.

Of course we are not really friends, this is the internet so nothing is real even if it
feels like it sometimes, but we need to produce sales copy that makes it all feel real.
As marketers we need to write good copy and make the prospect want to buy from us, hopefully you can do it in an honest way but in reality this is very rare.

On any platform where there is money to be made you will undoubtedly have crooks, unfortunately dishonest people gather and learn the speil and will sell complete nonsense, (I'm not suggesting this seller is doing this), they do it so well that for most of us we end up finding out too late. But this is invaluable experience.

My advice is ask away, ask all the questions you want and if you don't feel right with the
answers then walk away. Generally your 'gut feeling' will serve you well, just make sure you
back it up with research, Google the product and/or seller, do your due diligence,
ask in other forums, go anywhere for more info that will help you make a decision.

Sometimes the sales copy will be good for you, sometimes you will get sensible replies from the
seller and sometimes it will all feel right, the buying signals will be good for both buyer
and seller and you go for it. Sometimes it will be right for you, other times it won't be but
    it is all good experience.

Do not buy for the sake of it, don't just 'go with the crowd', I don't care how many good reviews
a product has (although it is often an indication), or how many 'thanks' the seller has,or how
many people suck up to the seller lol...at the end of the day you are the buyer, you deserve respect, you are the one parting with your cash and all good, genuine sellers will know this, they will appreciate your order and they will also respect your decision if you decide not to buy.

    Good luck :-)

Gary this is a great product, but are you guys still answering support tickets?

I have lodged some that are not being answered, and pm'ed you here, not for some time wasting technical support query, but asking to purchase more content for the niches if its possible.

I realise you are busy, but would be great to get a reply, yes or no e.t.c

I bought the basic package a year or so back (before I was aware of WF) and have installed 3 of the 5 sites that it came with. Each site came with the memberspring plugin and 50+ posts each with a single graphic. I had problems installing them originally which were down to the host I was using which limited the some PHP functions - especially upload size, a point specifically mentioned in the installation instructions. Once I got that resolved with the hosting provider, I had no problem.

I reduced the trial price to $1 and the monthly to $5 as I thought that was what the content was worth. I'm promoting each site via articles on various sites and get enough interest to pay the hosting bills.

I recently had to move hosts and found the easiest way was to copy the site in its run in format + the SQL backup via FTP than to reinstall from scratch.

The provided content is good rather than riveting must read, but I haven't done anything to change it.

I'd be interested if anyone has done a new site from scratch with content. How easy was it?

All in all it's an interesting package and a good way to learn about running membership sites.

      Regards,

      Steven
