I'm just about to purchase Marketing Samurai. The tool seems to have nothing but good reviews. I also know that Micro Niche Finder has a lot of raving fans, so I am considering buying that too.

However, I also admire much of what Chris Egan has done, with his IM tools. Can anyone compare/contrast Chris' tools with MS and MNF, particularly the HotKeywordSpy tool? Any insights/recommendations you can provide would be very welcome.

Which is better (I know only 2 out of the 3) depends on your needs.

I have both MNF and MS (which I find excruciating slow btw) and after using both for a short while, I've realised that I don't need either.

Now I simply use the Google Adword Keyword Tool plus the Firefox SEO Quake plugin to check backlinks and PR of sites on page one.

However, you may have different needs to me. So let us know what they are.
I completely agree!!! The new Google keyword tool is so useful with sorting, ad cost columns, filtering, etc... then with just some checking with a plugin (I use SEOBook), I'm finding less and less need for MNF and MS.

I have a feeling that's what Google is trying to do, make all paid keyword tools obsolete? Or am I on crack...again...today...again...

My free version of MS quit working on me.
5 emails back and forth from MS support and it still wont work.
I was going to buy the paid version, but not now.
I too was looking at hotkeywordspy as an alternate.

I was also thinking that about keyword tools.Google doesnt want anyone to use techniques to offset there placement in their search engine.I forget what google calls it in there TOS,but isnt that what our keyword tools do?

Also, google can control what its keyword tool puts out.
If no one can figure out its algorithim thing, google can do what it wants with keywords as it fits.

I write a lot of content and articles, and so I need know what keywords I need write my content around to get my articles ranked highly.

Money Keyword Finder makes that job so easy for me to do that.

You don't have to try work out for yourself what the most 'rankable' keywords are. The software does it for you. It's not like any other keyword tool I've ever used before.
